You may say your Samsung lasts XX years but not if I'm using it,lol. So, end up same thing, the phone will be dead(Samsung) before the support for the OS stops(N9).

sens... moreI'd go with the N9 or wait for the first Nokia WP7 phone, you'll be better off, those who say samsung sg2 is faster than n9 are just fandroids, they don't know what they're talking, nokia n9 is the smoothest OS and the WP7 Mango release comes after.
You'll be in safe hands.

Who the hell says it supports android apps... I mean the apps are made for all phones which resembles a lot with each other... Androids apps are in .apk file n nokias apps are in other files. For eg apple n android both hav a game angry birds but one cannot install the angry birds of iphone on android or vice versa..... I ve heard that nokia is making a phone N10 which can be booted to windows, meego as well as android but their apps which are made for the particular OS will run on that particular platform only.... Well its a concept... Doesnt knw the truth....

im considering to buy a new phone , i got 3 options htc sensation , sgs2 , and n9 .
sensation most of them got the death grip thing but i love its ui
the s2 got rly good resolution and colors but many ppl reported issued with its screen like theres yellow colors and sth like that
then the n9 i rly had a bad experience wiz nokia's softwares but when i checked n9 it was rly cool but im not sure.
so plz sm1 help me here and tell me his opinion on this phone like apps for it and its durability ,or i should go with the s2 or htc. thanx

i like the idea of swiping from the edge of the screen takes your home thing. but the ui is rather un tested and very unfamiliar. i am a nokia user. but nokia never listen to us. dont be loyal to nokia, be loyal to yourself, think of it guys, we are being left behind. i have tried galaxy sii for its price, i say it is all worth it given the best processor and ui. just think of it... i repeat, dont be loyal to nokia, there are many more companies out there that offer even more powerful product.

gone back to tv out, were are they going with that. HDMI is great to share the 720p videos. and for surfing the net ect! i will keep my n8 for now

AnonD-23045, 02 Oct 20111st of all.. meego doesn't require a dual core pro to run smoothly....it runs buttery smooth o... moreabt alien dalvik... myraid is the parent company that owns alien dalvik, they claim that AD will allow android apps to run(on meego) as smoothly as they do on android. BUT the problem is myraid will make AD available only to the device manufactures(NOKIA)as AD needs to be installed into a device by its manufacturer because it is very complex n requires to be installed frm the roots of the meego OS.
In the case of N9... Myraid offered AD for the N9 long ago(for a price)but nokia were reluctant to use it in the N9. Hence no android apps for the n9.
The reason (I believe) for this not to happen is Stephen Elop!! He just does not want N9 to be a hit .. and is using all his power to supress the N9 inorder to make the WP mango flagship a hit. He never backed the device, not even the moment it was announced.

it's our money dude.. so take your worries to android forums. not here in n9 forum.

Since Nokia N9 with Meego have the highest popularity right now, it still can change everything. We will see soon. And I have a good feeling with this N9.
