Seriously, what is it with all this complaining about hardware specs? It's almost as if the customers don't care to make research for themselves but rather just go what the companies want them to buy. That is; GET BIGGER, GET WHAT EVER WE ARE OFFERING RIGHT NOW. It's the whole package that counts and in my opinion N9 delivers.
* MeeGo doesn't require an overwhelming amount of power, or a dual core processor. MeeGo isn't Android. SOME manufacturers have already put dual-cores on their phones, but for example can Gingerbread even make full use of it? No. Ice Cream will bring it to Android-phones in the foreseeable future. Until proven otherwise, I'm quite confident N9 will run just fine with whatever it's stacked with.
* The 12MP sensor from the N8 might have been nicer, atleast on paper, but I presume it didn't fit inside N9's sleek body. I don't miss the pixels, the new 8MP sensor offers plenty enough of them, but rather the larger sensor of the N8. On the plus side, the lense may be better in the N9. I expect the camera to be second only to N8's.
* As of yet, I have no first hand experiences of MeeGo, rare people do, but based on the "first look" videos it seems like a breath of fresh air. Innovative and fun are the keywords. Really, check out the videos.
MeeGo, excellent camera and the robust design&construction is what you pay for. And sadly, possibly even the exclusiveness of it. I cannot underline this enough: It's the whole package that counts, not any specs, especially if taken out of context.
i think nokia may not be listening to lags reports on their bunch phones. Sometimes, the phones are quack brewed. In business that one wants to protect name and still make profit; it is not just quack mass production that matters, like some phreaks in china do, but quality invested in functional versatility and durability. Please, nokia sit down, read through gsmarena's comments and from nokia conversation's users' suggestions, not from 'fun critics', and then draw some useful opinions before making any product. For instance, the drives which would have made nokia N9 a robust device are lagging; that for example include full flash support, consistent use of a well researched good phone's features and hosts of others.
So, my dear nokia, going by a group's feeling in your company may fetch you more embarassments in phone's world; some of those are achaic. I think users speak it all. And any mind not listening is worth retrenchment.
Anyway, this is just a suggestion and may be disregarded if a better option is found to meet the yearnings of the smart phone users.
Yours effectively,
sam.

The mega pix in too smal and y can't nokia produce a phone dat ping in will be better.

why this set doesn't have usb otg ?
This swipe ui is the best, simplest and most beautiful ui I have ever seen! And n9 has a very great design, thanks to nokia design team! It's design itself can already attract many buyers! Meego community rocks so would n9
This device going to be huge hit.
Hari, 23 Sep 2011Please include memory card slot. It may help to increase the popularity of this phone.I do not think that increasing the memory card will increase the popularity of the fone. This fone comes with an inbuilt memory capacity of 16GB and 64GB, which is particularly unlimited if you compare with other fones.
The nokia n9 will be my next device.
well done Nokia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AnonD-18418, 24 Sep 2011the design is pretty cool but doesnt anyone feel the system config. is quite old?? 1 ghz wit... moreWhy would it need a dual-core processor? To drain its battery?
Yes I don't have the latest chip, GPU and all that but you know what? I run 36 apps simultaneously and I don't lag. You don't have to buy me but don't try to knock me down when you haven't even seen what I can do.

And here i thought that Google is selling there OS by version and that if cell phone company wants to have the latest andriod OS like honey comb to ice cream, a cell phone company should buy it again from Google. I just wonder how Google would get there profit if its free?
