AnonD-16863, 11 Sep 2011Same type of feeling came in my mind when n900 was announced " yes nice phone , nice fea... more"where is the n900 and where is the os of n900?
result was "its became orphan" - "
yes maemo was left by nokia and meego too will be left if it doesn't have successful selling wherever it launches because nokia has bet on wp7. But i still feel n9 will get success. Because almost all tech site which had their hands on this device declared it amazing in terms of design and functionality, os, speed etc (some even said iphone killer - for that we need to wait and watch) but less than ios, android - sg2, sensation, optimus 3d etc in terms of applications, dual core, 3d, etc. And most of the people if not all, watching it's videos on youtube will definately get attracted. Even if nokia leaves meego, it will be supported by linux and meego community as it is an open platform.
Maemo community is still running.
"android has lots of support in market. even all IT companies hiring "ANDROID DEVLOPERS" in mass amount." -
android is where once symbain was. Geeks are interested in it and it has the gaint GOOGLE's support, i think it will leave apple ios behind next year but it all depends upon the performance of n9 and iphone5. If n9 gets hit, then some geeks and developers will turn to meego as it is easier to create for meego than android. (son meego is more like daddy linux than son android - just kidding, no offence)

So far so good. only problem is battery its not for professional work. bt if u do not use mobile internet it will last day long. otherwise battery will drain in 8hr continuous use. Screen is good bt white is not really white. black is really black bt not white is really white. Speed is really fast. i don't like the video player coz max 1080p video plays very good bt sound missing. this is all about Samsung S2. so stop buggering Samsung android fan.

watever i am saying is all market perspective.

and last you have told andoid needs dual core for making it smooth.. thats wrong. even 600mhz single cpu can make andoid smoother(ex wildfire, wildfire s).

[deleted post]"phone without front facing camera" - my friend, it has front facing camera for video calling but the vga camera is located below the screen at righthand side.
"without OTG" - What is OTG ? U mean to say usb on the go.
I don't know if it has usb otg or not . I think nokia started this usb otg from n8, i would like to have it.
                          "No external card slot"
i too want to have a phone with expandable memory because i don't like to store all in phone memory. Thats the drawback wait there is another one for some people and it is micro sim support.
"No radio" - the N9 has an FM radio receiver and an FM Transmitter harware this was said by nokia.
And i read on some site that the next update for n9 will possibly include fm radio as there is hardware for that.
"Angry birds preloaded ryt?? run 1nce asphalt 6 HD in this phone then you will know what is mean of dual core" - yes it doesn't have dual core. Android requires dual core to run smooth but ios symbian and meamo/ meego reqires less ram and processor and all the popular games will be available for it soon if n9 get's hit.
By the way it's a baby os just starting to walk, remember the time when ios, android and wp7 started they all lacked many basic features and this is just starting but is way better than others at start. And it comes with many good features including the things i posted earlier.

lot of engineering has been done in this phone.
                                      First Buttonless phone
                                      polycarbonate body
                                      swipe technology

                                      fastest camera capture
simplest user inteface (simpler than iphone 4)
                                      best web browser html5 (beating ipad2, sg2, )
                                      (thehandheldblog.com/2011/06/23/meego-android-ios-html5-test/)

N9 is a Qt enabled device. As far as i know there are more than 300,000 Qt developers worldwide. http://www.telecoms.com/16735/nokia-brings-qt-to-symbian-maemo/
Qt is a cross platform tool that you can write the code once and deploy to multiple platforms such a maemo, meego, android, symbian, linux distros, windows, mac, and now next billion of s40 series of Nokia.
meego is linux, so even if Intel did reduce contributions to MeeGo, MeeGo is not Intel or Intel’s. It’s a open source project under the Linux Foundation. meego will as long as linux live, because it has a wide community support. Let me clarify you something too. Intel is not backing away meego. it was a lie that rumoured around Internet. GSmarena brought the news in some way that could confuse you. but to make it more clear just prefer this link. http://mynokiablog.com/2011/09/02/intel-backing-away-from-meego-intel-says-theyre-still-committed/
                                        Why i buy N9?
                                        1. First of all it is full linux OS.
                                        2. It is Qt enabled. The community is currently working on useful Qt apps for meego harmattan.Thousands of Qt apps are already made for symbian, means later devs can deploy to meego with a little modification. Moreover N9 comes with loads of useful apps out of the box.
                                        3. It runs meego harmattan which is unique in the terms of ui and ux.
                                        4. Easy to use. Just a swipe away. Fast and smooth (Qt Qml powered which a light weight language in Qt)
                                        5. Design of the device is unique and beautiful that everyone agrees.
                                        6. For style and fashion/ show off./ To be special in the society.
                                        7. Camera.
                                        8. For browsing.
                                        9. To listen to music.
                                        10. never to sell it later, just own it forever. coz it is a beauty. :)
there are some other reasons too,
