Beyarfaj2004, 09 Aug 2011don't be so hopeful my dear, time is over for nokia :)Nokia is the real thing when we talk about phones!
The rest is negligible!!!
fool people arguing with specs of phone. phone is for communication, its basic function is to text and call. point and shoot camera is what most of people want, computer can perform a lot more in cheap price then to buy a compact thin thing which has a lot of limitation.
the only problem I have now with this N9 smarter phone...
...is I still have to wait for a month to have it in my hands..
patience...patience... hopefully, n9 smarter phone will be released earlier.
can't compare sgs? with Nokia N9 Smarter Phone, n9 is way better.
AnonD-16863, 09 Aug 2011Bro these people are just machins and just want to say "nokia nokia nokia"
wha... moreit none of your business buddy! we nokia fans looks way back decades ago when nokia started producing reliable phones..until today and the coming future and that is for sure.
not the last year!
are you giving us money to buy our phone? it is our money and it is our choice.
you go back to crappy samsung if you want it. We don't care!
How come the camera is only 8MP while the N8 is 12 MP? Dont u think N9 shld hv a better camera than the N8?
Nokia N9 will lose out if they are launching around the sametime as Iphone 5. Both were good up market phone but Iphone 5 likely to leading on App and dual core technology.
Message from Nokia Singapore claims release date remains the same for most countries, some getting it earlier than 23rd September (Less than 3 weeks till launch in Malaysia and surrounding areas).
seth, 09 Aug 20113.9 in screen? 1 ghz CPU? Nokia, really? this is so 2009!!! I find the 3.9' perfect for smaller asian hands. 4.3' too big, harder to grip. Not eveything is abt western market or 'bigger screen is better'
AnonD-16863, 09 Aug 2011Bro these people are just machins and just want to say "nokia nokia nokia" wha... moreOf course, this is Nokia thread, for those interested in the device. I'm not interested in samsung device so i dont go those threads. Samsung fans in this forum have even bigger reaction when anything bad is said abt samsung, lol. Its just a phone after all, everybody spending own money to buy,not other people's money. No point arguing which is better (like the last few pages),the companies wouldnt pay us for it,hahaha.
owsm build quality...and suprb os...but nokia want to work hard...to give mhl usb...and memory card slot...much more apps for this mobile...
Angry Birds Running on the Nokia N9 - MeeGo Harmattan:
The bright colours of the game are presented well on the vivid 3.9” AMOLED screen and the multitasking abilities of the Nokia N9 can come in handy with gaming as well!!
Guys check this out... N9...
This is not a review of the unit, just a quick walk through and this is still considered Beta software BUT it performs brilliantly. NOTHING Multitasks like this thing, NOTHING!!
Now that we call a Revolution...The best Nokia Ever... Love N9 and love the MeeGo OS...This phone is Bingo for Nokia...Golden egg...Fantastica...Awesome...More phone like this and you gonna be on TOP...Lot of potential i see here...Hope MeeGo OS will become Prime OS for Nokia Phones... We are with you Nokia...
Design - wise they have done it right this time. Looks classy and solid. The abscence of paint to be scratched is another thing many people have expected. If they put a good image sensor, the reduced resolution to 8 instead of 12 megapixels is going to only do good to camera performance in respect to noise. The placement of LEDs is like in a real camera.
The finnish guys have done it.
I am impressed and i knew it. They always set the pace, others just follow.
AnonD-11935, 07 Aug 2011i am not talking about n9 capabilities i already know and already said that its better than ip... morethe n9 will support all android applications through the alien dalvik which could be dowloaded from the android app store or ovi store...
Good phone and a lot of potential. I hope Nokia will use it right, support, and develop this platform further. They won't have another chance.
Back in December 2009 I've purchased N900. At that time Maemo 5 had unsurpassed web browser with full Flash support, excellent Skype integration with video (!) calls, and unrivaled multitasking capabilities. Other software was also promising.
However, instead of extending Maemo 5 potential, Nokia has limited it to a single product and decided to use Symbian for N8, flagship model of 2010. For that reason premium hardware of N8 was crippled with Symbian's (totally) unusable web browser.
To conclude, Nokia already had an in-house product which could compete with Android or iOS. They just failed to notice the potential of Maemo 5 and focus on updates and further development. This caused a lot of users to lose faith in company.
The N9 and Meego are now a big test for Nokia. This may be a last chance for Nokia to develop an original, in-house OS. Failure would lead to far-reaching consequences - shift from innovative to generic company.
Nokia has restored some of my faith in the company. This is a beautiful phone and the Meego OS looks to be as intuitive as iOS. No offense to Windows 7 but I dislike Windows. If only Nokia has chosen to develop Meego quickly as Symbian's successor instead of going forward with Symbian 3 or using Win 7. Clearly they already have the neccessary OS. They just need to create the neccessary alliances with app developers or better yet, instead of competing with their own App store (OVI store), inked an alliance with Google to get their Android APP market (Not the Android OS though). I am certain the NOKIA folks will still work magic with their battery life on the N9. They have always been able to maximise efficiency with NOKIA battery life.
