Anonymous, 13 Jul 2011are you using android in N900 is it possible to to install different software, how to and will... moreyes it is possible to install many os on the n900 but cant help u how exactly u have to find out on youtube to follow the exact process and i don't know if we can do that with n9 i don't think we can cause there is no sdcard available but u wouldnt want another os cause meego got it all cause u can install android app on it if the game is repacked for it

@Pop Why did you say that Meego is Outdated?...I don't get it!..Did you compare between Meego and other OS so that you said it's outdated...Or it's because you're just a close minded android or IOS fan.

nice phone even if i like android i want to buy galaxy s2 but this phone can persuade me i dont really know which one to buy but i guess i will buy galaxy s2 since i really really love big screens

This is the best and the most unique OS I've seen (In video) at the moment. Will definitely get one, once it's available.
Apple will be jealous and will sue Nokia on the pattern infringement and this thing will be banned in the US just like they always did with other manufacturers. Not that I hate apple.

We can't judge the N9 without knowing its street price first. If they are crazy enough to price this in the same range as the dual-core phones then the specs are outdated. The CPU, GPU, and chipset is the same as the LG Black.
If they price this to compete with single-core phones, they'll dominate that market.

Are you aware that this is the first meego device? Are you aware this is one of the most efficient os's? Are you aware meego can manage hundreds of multitasking apps at once? How exactly is it outdated with its smooth and innovative ui? Enlighten me...

Is there a software that you use to stress it? Or do you just use it in a normal routine, waiting for it to glitch? Oh, if you happen to know any ROMs for my C6, let me know ok? It's a really good phone after the update, but I can't help wanting more. And really, we should make the ROM the overclocks the N9 as user-friendly as possible, then let as many people as possible know about it, it's Nokia's chance to gain traction is the high-end segment since people these days think bigger numbers and different brands is always better over another. You've made your point over the battery life, and I'm convinced about it. Once again, *facepalm*. I can t believe I forgot about Nokia's Clear Black Display, that would REALLY help in solving battery life issues. You know what's the problem right now? The N9 won't be available to the US and UK, losing a world-wide credibility. It'll have to rely on reviewers, and even then some of them are biased.

well i read a lot of comments and who doesn't like this phone and who does like it for me i intend to buy it i am addicted to my nokia n900 and i think this phone is the n900 son for who say that 1ghz is not enough the samsung s2 is better well i tell them that i installed android gingerbread 2.3.3 on my n900 on 600mhz and it runs very good with all the games that can be installed on samsung. android os doesn't attract me you'll say then why i installed android on my n900 well because of some games i like when i finish playing i boot on maemo, you'll say that samsung record 1080p well 720p is more than enough and maybe with the update they will support the 1080p in either way i don't think that anybody will try to film a weeding :P the screen is the best there is in the market now as from the reviews i read 8mp camera shot better than others as from the reviews i read and for me 64gb i love to big space in the phone as i have 32gb in the n900 built in and a 16gb sdcard so this phone for me i guess it will be with me for couple of years like i have my n900 for a year and half now anybody agree with me ?

How? When we upgrade the clockspeed, tasks take less time as well since the CPU goes back to idle more quickly. However, the real kicker here is the fact we are also able to change the voltage used at different clockspeeds. This means that we dictate how much juice the CPU uses to do its calculations. We try to get this as low as possible without creating instability: If we lower voltage by too much, not all pieces are switching as needed, creating errors, which is they compound lead to a crash.
My N900 is now faster, and sips battery because of the Ultra Low Voltage settings. Yay!
There are two more reasons I am very optimistic about N9 performance, battery wise. The CBD Amoled screen with lots of black backgrounds. And the fact that MeeGo combines all of the data requests from different apps into a single large one. Much less calling of the cell tower or wifi network, means much lower battery usage and longer life. The N9 is the first to do this so efficiently. I cant wait for the tests!

U can put the most powerful hardware together regardless if it improves the performance of the os or not, then make a big deal about it and it sells like hot cakes, ie. SGII. Thats called clever marketing, not clever design.

I didn't realized that the CPU can be underclocked too. With MeeGo I'm not sure how much underclock is needed to require a smooth UI experience. About the custom ROM's UI, it would be a much warm welcome if it allows the homescreen to be filled with useful widgets like e-mail and shortcuts (futuristic look of course). Finally, if this is what Nokia did to Meego, I can't wait how Symbian Belle's UI will feel like. Hopefully not clunky, though Anna seemed to fix that.
