Guys, a great news for Nokia fans.
Meego UI will be ported to Symbian S40 (1 Ghz devices) in 2012.
I hope you will get this news through gsmarena within few days.
In 2012, Nokia is going to rule again the mobile industry.

What's its price in Pakistan? It should be user friendly as it belongs to Nokia. Will it be a good competor to Apple? N8 will jump down quickly after its arrival.
joe, 04 Jul 2011how can i bounght this phone nokia N9 in fijiyou can not buy this phone in fiji
[deleted post]Figures, trolls manipulating the stats, but they cant hide the phenomenal interest.. 2million hits is pretty indicative..
[deleted post]yeah someone sabotaged. I know it isnt right well, theyre just too jealous of N9 coz they cant accept the fact that this monster is from Nokia :P
[deleted post]I agree with your sentiment, but your reasoning is flawed. I like Nokia because what they stand for, their take on the environment, their efforts to sell great devices at the lowest possible price in developing countries. I feel it is an aspirational company, that evokes much more emotion than other companies in the world. I seriously have never seen a Samsung fanboy. Or an LG fanboy. Apple, Android & Nokia yes, not the others.
I think, even though it hurts Symbian users now, and makes MeeGo lovers like me sad, Elop has broadly done the right thing. He should have been more careful in dealing with Symbian, then Symbian would not be dropped as fast as it is now. But still. Think of this.
With WP7, Nokia will be the only company still, outside of Apple, that influences the software it ships on their flagship devices. All other makers are box shovers now, that have to react to Google, are in a spec pissing contest as it is the only thing differentiating them, are behind the curve versus the Nexus phones update wise, etc. Nokia will have WP7 updates first. They will have Nokia specific apps first. They will have new OS versions first. They get to codesign the UI in the version of WP after Mango. They get paid for advertising, have their own store, the works. Nokia partnered with Microsoft. Others are slaves to Google. Big difference and I understand why Nokia did this.
Its not just about apps, it is about an integrated experience. Nokia will be able to connect to more Xboxes for streaming to TV than the amount of Apple TV's that will ever be produced. It will have the best integration with the dominant OS on computers. It will have the best exchange & office integration, the best navigation due to navteq, the best camera's, the best everything really.
Just PLEASE Elop put the Swipe UI on top of WP7 instead of the live tile BS and the single file app list next to it. Pulease!
Bailey, 04 Jul 2011Because you know how to run a multi million pound company. But if you actually did you know th... moreStill, he should have kept on MeeGo, in its current form, and just do a hw update next year and sell a N9-01. The back up plan if the WP7 thing does not go as planned is pretty shaky the way he is doing it.
