My comment was totally based on the present available OSs. When compared to Maemo, iOS and android seems like a waste. They rule the smartphone world just because they have huge developer interest and lots and lots of apps. But when it comes to User Interface and User Experience, Maemo is the best of all. Pity its not releasing in india. But will be after the release of Sea Ray.

[deleted post]There are already oodles of Android phones on the Market..We dont want another Android clone..We want Nokia to give us a pleasing alternative..They think that W7 is the answer, but i dont believe it is...There are already other Windows devices available..They dont sell that well..Meego, on the other hand has such great potential..It just needs a chance..

[deleted post]If the N9 ran Android, the N9 would basically suck at multitasking, the UI would be so much uglier, Navigation would not work offline, the build quality would be less, the screen at best the same but probably worse, and you would an OS that is destined to become discontinued to due patent lawsuits Google cannot defend itself against. If you want Android, get the SG2, if you want something great, get the Nokia N9!

Have N8 now, but thats not going to deter me from getting an N9.. its soo awesome..

Awesome phone. Beautiful design. Can't wait to see similar phones running Windows Phone OS.

Nokia N9 is amazing ! When nokia launched N8 I was really interested in buying it but nearly at the same time there was some information on comming N9. I saw N9 prototype ( maybe) with real slide qwerty board what I do not like so I decided to buy N8. N8 is working well but a little bit slow and it has camera not on the same level as back side of the phone what is not so convinient to put the phone on the desk. Furthermore a speaker is on backside and when we put on the desk we cannot hear the ring. I see that a newly announced N9 is perfect improvement of Nokia. Its camera is now deep inside, speaker is located on the bottom of the phone. memory and storage , RAM, CPU is 4 times bigger than N8, OS is very good, the operation and repsonse time is perfect. The User interface is even better than Iphone. This is so far the best solution for multitasking phone and all the openned program are hiden on the separate windows. It is very convinient for users to hide and return back when necessary. I will buy N9 again when it is launched to the market. In my opinion it is the best smart phone so far. I believe that with this model Nokia will take over its lost position in mobile phone market.

I'm already got cash for phone so when comes available I'm can back to Nokia. Curantlly I'm HTC one of the best phone owner and proud.

Go for Andriod an... moreyou mean they should make iphone copys like samy. i never thought that i will buy a nokia device because they had a borring cold design. n9 is a beauty and i love it. if you like you dont have to get it. go for iphone or sgs2 its the same thing they both look the same

the design is superb. simple and fluid. curved glass is so luxurious. this is the single smartphone wich can stand face to face to iphone 4 beauty.

As a worker in Nokia company, i had the chance to hold and use the most new Nokia Phone. It´s incredible, the browser speed is just something that i never see before in any other phone. Its light and thin, and it´s a beutifull phone. I work in a Nokia Store, here in Brazil.
