Paul Troy, 26 Jun 2011Firstly, its not meant to be a Flagship device.. It has Radio Chip in hardware, and could be... moreSo you're saying buy a 64Gb version if I am unsure 16Gb is sufficient. Nonsense, Nokia almost always has expansion! This COULD have been one of Nokias premium phones ever! despite the 'one off' Meego had they stuck to the script. It incorporates features more akin to IP than Nokia and we wait to see if the battery is user replaceable in a phone that is not worried about dimensions, and no flash lite? It hurts me to hate this phone more than I love it how can you get so close to perfection then throw it away. Imagine just imagine this phone with an sd slot, flash lite. All the innovation that has gone into this, CBD etc. I really wish I could ask Stephen Elop to explain. Yeah so 64Gb, also @ work NOT! allowed usb phone connection, but increasingly 'administrator' privileges needed for smartphone.

Battery might be like on N8, not removable by the customer without voiding warranty (N8 battery can be removed by removing two screws). Normal user has no need to remove battery, though.
The OS itself isnt very much different from others, just that the unlocking and all movement is done by certain finger movements instead of using hardware buttons.
This has no buttons? Meaning there is no home screen dedicated for the OS like HTC Sense or Samsung TouchWiz? Also the design is very nice however i couldnt see any way to reach the battery?
Sails, 26 Jun 2011Actually there are quite a few Samsung fans that all day long vote other phones down and give ... moreNot to mention any votes are totally 100% irrelevant cos most likely not a single person here has even seen this live, not to mention used one.
AnonD-1124, 26 Jun 2011Thats a non issue. Nokia never abandons their phones. The important updates always get deliver... moreHope so, this is a fantastic looking device and although I won't be getting it, I hope the ones that do get support and longevity on it :)
Sails, 26 Jun 2011Actually there are quite a few Samsung fans that all day long vote other phones down and give ... moreI agree with you. However people buying the phone based on this voting results are NONE unless they read the complete review of the phone they choose. Its just to creat hype...
[deleted post]Actually there are quite a few Samsung fans that all day long vote other phones down and give 10-10-10 to their favorite samsung phones.
It is quite obvious when you see a new phone come out and it gets on the top ten list. Next day is has suddenly gotten a huge hit of minus votes.
You can't cheat the interest counters though ;)
it's ultimate in mobiles. tecnology can create by nokia, ilove it
AnonD-7829, 25 Jun 2011Yeah, I'm aware it uses qt, so the S^3 qt apps are likely to work with little to no optimizati... moreThats a non issue. Nokia never abandons their phones. The important updates always get delivered. Besides, like i said, there is the developerr community.
I was reading an article this morning. The n9 doesn't run meego, it runs harmatttan. Harmattan is nokias own project.

The N9 looks perfect its design is amazing the software looks very promising, actually every smart touch phone released is compared to the iphone this the only phone that i felt beating the iphone at all aspects :D, but i wished if the battery is switchable and to have FM radio and transmitter included in the N9 :(.
Anonymous, 26 Jun 2011Its amazing but y no radio? No memory card slot? No slot for the strap. I'm not impressed with... moreYou don't need cardslot.64 GB are enough
nokia is back.! innovations are there.! i love it. no micro sd slot? well i dont care.! it has plenty of storage.. amazing screen, sleek design, no hardware buttons, the real touch phone.!
Toss, 26 Jun 2011After reading most of d comments wat i've observed is all nokia fans who wants 2 buy dis phone... moreBuying a phone is always a compromise. Galaxy S 2 is a compromise as well. On the Android / MeeGo factor alone, there are lots of reasons why I would rather choose MeeGo.
Comparing to N9 (personal opinions BTW):
-You can't install real Linux software
-the interface doesn't look half as beautiful
-The multitasking isn't as good
-I'm willing to bet the camera isn't of the same quality
-the external design is lot more dull
-you can't get as big internal memory
-Galaxy S 2 is harder to root and no official support, You can "root" N9 by going to settings and selecting development mode
-only some markets get NFC and there doesn't seem to be much official support for it
-The N9 has a better screen (beautiful curve, CBD, better resolution)
-Samsung build quality doesn't match Nokia
-MeeGo is truly open source, comparing to the "half" open source of Android
-etc.
after seeing meego i think its not in the best interests of nokia to ditch this billion euro project.
shame on Elop
Nokia's CEO ready to abandon MeeGo!!Wtf!!
Toss, 26 Jun 2011After reading most of d comments wat i've observed is all nokia fans who wants 2 buy dis phone... moremy dear friend some of us have grown up and dont need to play games on a mobile phones so we dont need duble cores or anything like that. we need a device that looks nice and with which we are happy with. i think that you are unhappy with you s2 so yo need to bash other phones. if we are happy with n9 we are. thats non of our buissness.
Nokia said qt will live on. so meego has support.. BTW elop should be fired. i love meego
