i hope this sells and get lots goog good app, not useless ones
android and ovi store are loaded with crab softwares
i hope this gets a new store that will monitore the apps that are submitted
I'm gonna buy it even if they don't do that, but still it would be great if they do monitoring like the apple app store
I am going to dump my iph-4. I am going to buy N9. I was waiting for this release from Nokia. At last it is the beginning of hope from Nokia.
Some people, like me, couldn't care less about future support after seeing how beautiful n9 is. It is so irresistable that geeky consumers will probably buy it just to have one and regular consumers will impulsively buy it like they usually do.
I know we all want one! :)
N9 with Harmattan is really nice, but Ilmatar (version following Harmattan) device protos were even nicer with Intel chips. Too bad the public will never experience the UI of Ilmatar. Instead, we have Windows Phone.
TC: If you touch thru your pants, something could react, but it won't be your N9 since it's got a proximity sensor.
You are in the shadow of a lot of smartphones. Keep moving... The Nokia lost the contest...,for now
hawk, 25 Jun 2011To all the fanboys hailing this as the future of Nokia you need to accept that MeeGo is dead, ... morewe all know that. but Elop said Qt will live on other S40 platform. qt is the ecosystem of N9. so it is not dead.
who of you are evr gonna use 64gb memory? are you stupid complaining about mc slot
They should release this the soonest time possible strike while the iron is hot.
AnonD-1124, 25 Jun 2011something in elops statement gives me the idea that nokia still intend to continue with qt. He... moreYeah, I'm aware it uses qt, so the S^3 qt apps are likely to work with little to no optimization anyways. I'm not really worried about that, more about official support like software updates.
I don't personally really use apps for anything on my N8, don't expect that to change on my future phones either.
AnonD-7829, 25 Jun 2011Elop has said that the Meegos/N9s success is totally irrelevant, this will be the last one no ... moresomething in elops statement gives me the idea that nokia still intend to continue with qt. He pointed to them continuing with the ideas n interface of the n9. The are very probably working on a new platform. A succesor to the n9 with similar ui but running neither meego nor wp.
It really shouldn't matter to a potential n9 buyer whether or not nokia plans to mainstrean its os. It supports qt so it won't get any less apps than it would otherwise plus theres the developer community.
