finally, a long waited has launched.. 2011 June 21st is a day of Nokia's history....
I LOVE the new N9...
Sure will be my next phone. It's beautiful & style. Specs. feel awesome too.
Remember this is the first one, remember the first Android the G1 with no video or anything?? Not a bad first phone although whether there are many more to follow is another story.
Over the past hours i am beginning to like it more and more, hmmm might buy one.
Looks good, BUT why is it Bluetooth 2.1? Why is there no video call camera? Why did they downgrade the camera? If it is MeeGo based, shouldn't it come with Flash suport preloaded? Quite thick, It would look perfect if it were thinner. No FULL HD video recording? No expandable memory?
Hmmm I think I might wait for a Windows Phone 7 device.
When NOKIA stop having so many edges and sharp corners in their design. What is wrong with them having a rounded corners with more sober edges? Also some steel lining adds looks for a pricy devise. This N9 is more like a piece of plastic toy.
finally nokia started 1 Ghz and more resolution depth..!!!
i was planning to buy x7-00 but now i ll wait for this one...i jus checked Hands-on on youtube.....n trust me swipe shit iz better dan any ather OS...!!!
No MicroSDHC support according to http://www.developer.nokia.com/Devices/Device_specifications/N9-00/
Nokia will further loose market share by annoying the existing customers with this kind of porduct launch.. Forget the customer acquisition. The kind of product nokia is coming with reminds me of comedian show - rolling the same object in more funny way.
What I suggest is instead of running after someone and wiping the sweat.. apply some thought to present a product with good h/w and s/w package. Here no innovation is required.. but the creativity to select the right combination to create a package. Along with keep the R&D/innovation going on for next launch.
nokia great job
but do not forget to put an option for removable battery and 12 mp camera and large sim support
finally nokia brings something which can attract customers
release it as soon as possible
TB, 21 Jun 2011Just in case you weren't paying attention, that video was presented by Nokia's Senior Vice Pre... moreSorry ,understood what you mean.I meant we know meego is more than a swipe but yes they could do better marketing video,,..I am going for E6 for buttons as i am button fan ..Not fan of full touchscreens.
Right, me along with many others understand these smartphones but what about the person on the street?? I mean my heads clogged up with so many O/S and so many different incarnations of each so how is the normob understanding it all?? Maybe they just dont care and just buy a fone they like and only use it to talk and text,,many of folk i know only do this and its all they care about.
Me i would love to see an N95 Turbo with the exact same shell as N95 8GB but with all the top spec in and Turbo written on the back in italics. These smartfones of today have no aesthetics ,no buttons or gadgety fun. They are just boring slabs with no soul or design.
Usually nokia brands has good fm quality. And also we can change channels by earphone switch. But nokia N-9 doesn't has fm radio. Its main drawback. They should consider...
Ced, 19 Jun 2011I know this is worth the wait. :) I wish N9 will be dual-core and with a Gig or even 3/4 GB of... moreIt does have a 1GB of RAM. It is a shame that the CPU and GPU and a bit last generation but I imagine Meego isn't an intensive as Android or iOS. Looks nice but damn - I would love to see some Nokia design meet Android.
Looks interesting!! The price for 16GB seems to be 30k and 64GB might cost 35k...
no qwerty-keyboard, no dual-core, no stylus - those though was known prior hand.
Samsung Galaxy S2 beats clearly in hardware.
No Meego compatible. If someone releases a game for Meego, one has to be somewhat a hacker to get it installed. N9 will be the first and last Harmattan device. Where is rpm support?
