TMT, 21 Jun 2011well atlast nokia ur having the sense i wanted for the last 2 years but it still sucks because... morewonder how long you expect your battery to last 0_o. long live MEEgo,FINALLY it is here... it might be a few months(not years) too late, but it will definately be a contender in the mobile market at the moment.
This phone is still quite poor, even for Nokias standards. Being able to swipe the screen from the edge of the phone-is that this phones main attraction & selling point lol Nokia has had long enough to come up with something special, this is not it...surely. I just hope they have something up their sleeves to really impress the world with later in the year or this could be another year wasted by a company capable of doing so much better...JUST SAYIN.
There is a secondary cam on the lower-right of the phone for landscape video-calling.
Ced, 19 Jun 2011I know this is worth the wait. :) I wish N9 will be dual-core and with a Gig or even 3/4 GB of... moreWhat's the purpose of having a powerful CPU and other hardware when there is no apps?
Nokia is always late to every party. Other competitors are releasing dual core phones and this is single core. When Nokia decides to release a 1gz dual core phone, there will be 2gz dual core everywhere. Overall the phone is nice but Samsung galaxy s2 is better
Can this Nokia N9 download all applications like in the iTunes? As the applications under Ovi Store very limited...
Why Nokia N9 not have radio, secondary camera and not use dual core processor? If Nokia put these 3 functions, I think Nokia N9 can be a great phone for this time...
Why is nokia releasing the phone with outdated specs, am really suprised. No dual core processor. No Full HD Video Only 720p, 3G speed only 14.4, battery only 1450 mAh. No secondary camera, Bluetooth version is 2 :O
They need to re-think the spec i believe. Also need look at the price. Lets wait and see :-)
Looks very plastic and cheap, and above all uninspiring. It's a shame that it doesn't have a dual-core processor, which is a MUST for today's high-end flagship phones. Overall i am very disappointed.
no secondary camera? take a look at the bottom right. what was that thing?
it is a slide to function phone.slide the screen -go to multitask-choose app-again slide.so is there any back button or a home button.does anybody knows about its customization.can we create folders or place app on home screen.
chester, 21 Jun 2011GSMArena please correct the camera details:
* In the N950 the front facing camera is in top... morethat is right, i am trying to tell GSM arena that it has one at the lower right..
btw, there is no confirmation about the USB otg, so better remove it there.
it can also play MKV video files according to the specsheets.
GSMArena please correct the camera details:
* In the N950 the front facing camera is in top right corner and on N9 it is in the bottom right corner. The actual camera module is same.
You can even see the camera on the videos.
Finally Nokia will release something worth buying on the market.
I will definately buy this N9,
Waiting is over,
NOKIA,it doesn’t matter if u don’t release another Meego phone soon, just get this N9 device on the market for me please,
N9 is a simple pocket computer that will not let me down,
& till we get the Nokia morph, this N9 will keep me busy 4 sure.
specs. are outdated a bit
and xperia arc will beat the hell out of it
you are all so... dumb?! maybe , or maybe not.
if you owned maemo or symbian before you should know that they can do all the same or even better with lower processing power than android or other phones. you should know that nokia optimises their phones to maximum capacity with maximum battery life. If else, explain to me why did they underclocked the n8 processor, and the n8 can best almost every other phone in the graphical capabilities ? :) lamers/haters
nothing special (except meego)and wheres the secondary cam.it is not nokias flagship smartphone.
