as par latest news i got to hear that it has 4.2 inch screen, 768 MB of RAM, 1.2 Ghz processor, 12 MP carl zeiss lens camera.... This specs sounds delightful & yeah i heard that it's hardware is near ready but the thing is meego os needs to be polished.... I hope the specs i have mentioned, it will come with.... This specs are the best till the time i have heard of any mobile...

ganesh, 19 Dec 2010i wait for this phone from june 2010. But about this phone no guaranty to release .IT IS FAKE?Been waiting too. Starting to think Nokia doesn't want another N97 experience and this phone won't come out until all of its competitors have released phoens with better specs. Promising me a flagship in early 2010 with 2011 specs is great, unless the phone ends up coming out in mid 2011...

MeeGo is a joint venture by the leading Smart Phone manufacturer Nokia and famous microprocessor manufacturer Intel. The Nokia N9 may be the first Smart Phone by Nokia working on MeeGo Operating System. It is almost similar to Nokia N8 and Nokia E7 in design and structure. The Nokia N9 has a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor and 512MB RAM and 1GB ROM gives great navigation in the device and video streaming when compared to other Smart Phones.
Nokia N9 is a replacement of Nokia N8 almost all features in Nokia N8 is included in Nokia N9. When Nokia N8 has 12MP Camera with Xenon Flash, Nokia N9 has only 8MP Dual LED Flash. The most important feature in Nokia N9 which differs from Nokia N8 is the QWERTY Slider keypad, gives better user interface in browsing and editing documents in Nokia N9.

0batman, 17 Dec 2010Nokia should just make it so that iphone apps can simply be downloaded freely into the phones ... moreThere ain't much useful in the iPhone appstore where the majority of apps are just books, if comparing the amount apps for N900, just installing the MGutenberg app, you will have access to at least the same amount of "apps" and all of them for free.
I do enjoy that I can write my own apps, which I can run both on my phone and on a desktop (as using python, I can run those on which ever operating system), the same benefit will be there in the N9 too.
The N9 will be a phone for men, while iphone will keep on being something for people without their own brain.

Tom, 17 Dec 2010Nokia should stop making operating systems which they have no apps for.To the chap complaining about apps?? wtf dude its a linux based phone u can run practically any thing u want on it if u have the technical know how, i dont so didnt buy one, if u wanted a tv out, decent camera, few apps and a nokia brand u should of got an N series phone or tried the new range of C's. As for apps, well games on the iphone, android takes the rest for price and choice, windows hahahaha try again next time, its still to fiddly!

Nokia should just make it so that iphone apps can simply be downloaded freely into the phones by a dedicated hacking community. Why try to push a doomed app store and waste effort? Be smart.

Umm., 16 Dec 2010Possibly so. Because Nokia devellops this MeeGo. They don't wan't an OS that drains the batter... moreWe will see if this is true or not... As Nokia's Meego chief said, the Meego phones will be very special!! I am waiting for the announcement.

Mobilemaster, 11 Dec 2010I don't hate Symbian, I like it. I have a Samsung Omnia HD, and it has Symbian. Symbian icons ... morePossibly so. Because Nokia devellops this MeeGo. They don't wan't an OS that drains the battery empty. MeeGo is like a follower of the Maemo.

Anonymous, 15 Dec 2010Oh No! No Flash on Nokia....oh well.../moves on and browses other brands....Every Nokia Smartphone has flash these days. It says Flash Lite 4.0. That's the flash. Even the 100 euro Nokia phone's have flash.
