Anonymous, 04 Nov 2012how do I download whatsup on this phone. i am unable to paste photos on facebook. this is a s... moreMy dear, all n9 users know how to upload facebook photos. who gave you this beast in your hand? like saqib i too request you not to spam here, instead please update your knowledge and research about this phone before putting some bashy posts.
Still, considering you as new user (or a kid), select any photo u want to upload, go to share button (third from bottom left) and u will find many sharing options. If you have activated facebook account on your n9 then it should reflect there too.
Now regarding whatsapp, just follow saqibs link provided below and install the same. You need PR1.2 or above version for that i guess. if u dont have it, just update it. Done..

There may be a little chance that Facebook services are down at your side. As for N9 photo uploading on Facebook works fine.
Whatsapp is a third party app. You cant blame a device if it does not have a third party support. As for N9 there is an unofficial client of Whatsapp which is named as Wazapp. You can download it from talk.maemo.org

"The Nokia N9 is not considered a 4G phone by any definition, but thanks to its penta-band HSPA cellular radio, it is one of the few phones that can be used on 3G networks in nearly every country where 3G is available. Since it supports HSPA connections on the 850/900/1700/1900/2100MHz frequencies, it can use both AT&T and T-Mobile's 3G networks here in the U.S., and use 3G networks all over Europe and Asia. The N9 supports Cat 10 HSPA, which means its has theoretical max download speeds of 14.4Mbps and max upload speeds of 5.76Mbps."
