AnonD-75716, 13 Oct 2012which phone is best lumia 800 or N9? pls comment......i wanna have those one.......I need fast... moresuggest u wait for lumia900s series
800 buggy, not to mention n9... i owned it (black 16GB) for a year... pr1 is fast but lacks quite some faetures, 1.2 solved that but became buggy and laggy at times. PR1.3 added more minor features but doesnt solved the bugginess and lags...
eg, when u are using swype in sms, you experience lag/hang swyping when the phone received sms.
video recording can lag and miss some frames
no unread msg yet standby screen still shows otherwise
but hell yeah, all other stuff... freaking smooth! n9 - simplicity
which phone is best lumia 800 or N9? pls comment......i wanna have those one.......I need faster speedy phone and faster data transfer speed on net browsing.
I am using this phone since last 6 months and here is the feedback:
1) OS is just short of brilliant..some bugs...but the interface is the best...without doubt better than iOS and WP7...way ahead of Andriods that I have seen...not many options with Apps and basic are covered and works well.
2) Excellent display and battery life
3) Very easy to carry even in Jeans
4) Flip cover for the charging slot/ USB is fragile...Rubber should have been used instead
5) Tough to use volume rockers buttons...should have been raised more.
6) Loving every minute of attention the phone gets..very unique.
7) Excellent camera...no shutter button
8) If you get it now...please go for it...its worth...but has some limitations
any news on N9 software update
still i am facing alot of puggs within the software
hope i receive more data/ expected data
my n9 has a problem in the sense that it is not bringing out the network and i have flashed it once still the problem persist. wat can i do to it?
administrater, 11 Oct 2012can i choose apple iphone 5 instead of nokia n9You could - it depends on what you want out of it. The iPhone has far more up-to-date hardware, and will continue getting official updates. However, it's considerably more expensive in most countries.
The N9 has some fairly old hardware now, but Swipe UI is still a nice interface, and the phone's one of the more open to modding. Official updates from here on are likely to be non-existent or limited to bug fixes, though community support is very good.
Cell phone components on RF board do not "degrade" like a battery, especially in the RX section, that is nonsense. N9 TX/RX stands good. Likely, the cellular service provider has a problem with its base station TX power or antenna. Also, N9 battery is good if you recharge nightly, and fully discharge it 1x/mo. Lithium batteries like to be topped off like an alcoholic.
Anonymous, 09 Oct 2012You take it out and compare it to other phones in a place where signal is weak. Same goes for ... moreDude, i have a N9 from start of the year and i dont have any issues with antenna. i have battery problems but i feel the signals are pretty good. it outperforms other phones in places where there is weak signals. it is much better than my friend's S3 and iphone 4s.
vic, 09 Oct 2012hey i have this phone but i dont knw hw to activate volume..am using vibration instead of ring... moresee the user guide on the homescreen and watch how..geez.. ok to help you click to uuper part of the screen where the signal and battery bar is located there you will see it
to all whose complaining about the signal of your n9, try to bring it to nokia center.. im sure that its your simcard that causes the problem, try to wipe it clean or put a thin paper at the back of the simcard tray.. its the fault of unpropperly cut simcard, happened to me as well after a month of used but when i put paper at the back it works great and never lose signal ever again..to be honest n9 simcard tray is not that perfect..thers a lot of complains about it..
Anonymous, 09 Oct 2012You take it out and compare it to other phones in a place where signal is weak. Same goes for ... moreAgreed. I'm not having any signal problems personally, but that doesn't mean people who do are lying! Unfortunately, it's probably a hardware issue and not fixable short of replacing the radio.
To say it in another way.. i would be seriously pissed if someone found a potential problem with the model car i have. But i would want to know, yes. With N9 its easier, its not a good phone anyway. N900, now that was a good phone, N9 was a huge downgrade and an unworthy successor from the N900.
AnonD-34077, 05 Oct 2012You may have bad experience with your N9. But I am here just telling you what I have experienc... moreYou take it out and compare it to other phones in a place where signal is weak. Same goes for other N9 owners here, lest get some more data on this, since we are already 2 people here with degrading signal on N9.
For reference, a good N9 will outperform any HTC phone, and have slightly lower or same signal as fairly new Sony Ericsson phones.
If you experience like us, that a HTC has a much better signal then your N9 is probably degraded. Here, our HTC used to be the one with weak signal, but it still have signal in the same place as the N9 has no signal (but the N9 used to have signal in that place). The HTC never was good but now its better (but its nowhere near our two Xperia Phones ofcourse)
And ch.saqib, i dont believe you have done systematic testing to back up your words, but i do know its a human thing to take our own things into defense, but i want to ask you, what is in it for you? Does denying a potential problem make it go away, or does it exalt you and your gadgets in any way, does it benefit anyone at all? Think about it and you will agree that a non-biased systematic approach is the best way to go. Its not like N9 owners will be sentenced to eternal damnation if this turns out to be a common problem, quite the opposite, it will add to our knowledge about this device.
hey i have this phone but i dont knw hw to activate volume..am using vibration instead of ringtone..how do i go about it??
Esk, 07 Oct 2012If you think Meego to Android is an upgrade, I wonder why on Earth you bought an N9. Anyway, y... moreUpgrading?? I'm sure he meant downgrading...Poor guy, hasn't got a clue what he's talking about...
