For all u doubters. Just think of this N90 as a camera and a camcorder worth USD800 or so, with a telephone built in , and gives you the possibility to use the camera like a web cam to see the other party when you use 3G. Now how does that sound ?
I'm still here. The N90 definitely has vibration. Don't worry about that matter.
I'm following up with local nokia dealers. The phone will be out in Singapore in about a week or so. It all depends on IDA now.
The n90 is out in some shops in holland.
So they're already shipping it.
Very-very soon. N90 would be in our hands and eyes to see. Asia Pacific, get ready on Sunday or early Monday.
Its quite a messy phone if you're a Nokia purist, the swivel isnt the most rugged though much better than the 6260 and if you are used to camcorders with the display inclined upwards you will like it for video recording but the features arent all that exciting. The picture quality is not very different from the sony k750i,I like the nokia N90 for its deep colours but sony K750i pictures are more natural. K750i is better suited for quick instant pictures. N90 only comes with 64 MB memory. It is available in the grey market for 29,000 at this rate the sony is a much better deal with many more features.. The soft keys are now on the keypad, one irritating problem with the 6260 which has been fixed.
thx dear . can u mail me copy of that e letter? will b highly thankful if u do coz i am waiting for this phone.
I am not sure whther its available in India right now, will have to ask Nokia Distributors. But I am sure that its officially released as this model is no longer being shown in Upcoming Models but in Current Models on Nokia Asia site. Just wait for a week :
Hi all, today early morning I recieved the e-letter from Nokia (India) which states that they have released N90 in the market. They have also stated that availability of N90 might vary from market to market. So chill out guys, I think we will be seeing it in the stores from this weekend and ahould be available everywhere by next weekend.
I dun think I wan this phone anymore. Nokia is disappointing. Delay fr EndJune to 15July to 23July. If its released at S$1388, as the stated price I wunnt wan as its way overpriced. It was noted tt it will cost ard $1315 den drop to ard $1163-$1213 after a couple of months BUT after all these delays i think they shld lower the price. Duno wads up with Nokia. Too disappointed.
is your an Export Set or Local Singapore Set ? I have search all over Singapore (Lucky Plaza, Nokia Shops, Burlington, Jurong, Mobile Square, etc) and N90 is no where to be found.
I dun mean to be rude, but I really doubt you have it :P
where have you gotten the Nokia N90? The release is slated to be in August but you've managed to purchase it? Can you please update me on the purchase location?
Thank you so much.
Since you have the phone, care to stop all speculations... does it comes with vibration mode??
N90 is out ;p i bought it this afternoon (SINGAPORE).. its nice and the camera is sharp :D
Wouldnt you guys just stop asking about the vibration? Lets just wait for its release to solve up every lilttle mystery of it, hopefully this coming weekend or first weekend of august.
*Keeping my fingers crossed*
i went to carfone warehouse just as a normal interestd customer and they said they havnt heard anything on it and not to hold out as if anything first shipments would go to those who had pre ordered it.i asked about vibration and they honestly coudnt say.
Yeah, i totally agree withthe vibration bit. If this phone has no vibration i doubt i wont buy it too cause as i'm a student. I need to keep my phone in vibrate profile during lessons.
The more Nokia delays it the more stiffer the competition is going to get. I got the news that its 3D Graphics API is worse than Nokia 6630 or 6680,Its JBenchmark score being 67 as against 6630s 190.
APIS Used for Media and Running:
Mobile Media API (JSR-135)
Mobile 3D Graphics API (JSR-184)
FileConnection and PIM API (JSR-75)
The problem might be that beacause of its low Graphics capablity yet striving for high performance the memory processor memory might just be getting exhausted causing reboots.Besides its got the new Series 60 UI version 2.0 Interface having Future Pack 3 for developing apps. But according to some its because of this interface that earlier Symbian designed apps will not work on this unless screen resolution is set rightly for ex. 208*208 something like that. Sure Nokia can fix it through a Firmware Upgrade. I would surely like to own it since its got the latest OS and UI version myself being a Symbian Programmer. But considering the obstacles it has had I would probably wait for the N90 till December.Till then if released at a good price I would take N91 for sure. As said the launch dates are going to be 3rd or 9th August in India, If the company doesnt delay further.
