Mark, 08 May 2011is it right that the message in N900 can't get over 150 letters? i don't need MMS neither a 12... moreOhhh so many queries....
Okay, I'll not be answering your questions
will just let you know my experience.
Firstly, this is the most powerful device. No
Secondly, I myself used to have 5800 earlier and
when I saw N900 first time it was weird for me,
as its functionality is totally different than mobiles we have used by now. As the concept of working is different. Things like touching the non active area will hide the active/visible area etc...
I heavily depend on it and is very helpful whether its business or entertainment.
Business: Skype Video Calling(awesome), webbrowsing(you can even carry out bank transactions in its browser) etc..
Entertainment: I watch movies on it just need to dump the whole movie, no conversion required, Music(Very good quality), can access Facebook(see videos and even chat on its browsers), play PalmPre 3D games etc...
Other plus point is USB charging which is generally missing in lot of Nokias.
It will work only 18 hours of its back up if you are using all the widgets activated.
Disable them and you can easily get 2-3 days of backup in normal use.
Now, being higly techie, I have installed Android in it too and love to use Android Applications and 3D games which can be installed on SD card without effecting your main OS. Will be soon deploying Meegoo too.
The best feature of all: running multiple programs simultaneously... which cannot be carried out on Android/Iphone devices because of its Linux powered OS feels like mini-computer though many users are using this term, you actually feel it as its very helpful for your needs/requirements thats why they say...
I change so many devices but this is the only device that I'll treasure it, as simply saying, this is the masterpiece.
So, it depends on your interests, for me 5800 and N8 is crap and I don't like it after using it.
Thats all for today :)
Mark, 08 May 2011hi guys
will i feel the defrence between the 16M color in my nokia 5800 xpress music and the... moreHi Mark,
Display is far better than 5800 XpressMusic as I used to have it. After reading your comment even I visited Nokia website too see the specifications whether is it really 65K as display is so good in it.
i fond this in the comparision between C7 and N900 saying that C7 has Much faster wifi
802.11n (150 Mbit/s)
802.11g (54 Mbit/s)
Higher bandwidth streaming at hotspots (around 3x faster)
is it true????????
will i feel the defrence between the 16M color in my nokia 5800 xpress music and the 65K in the N900
i wanna know so plz reply!!
is it right that the message in N900 can't get over 150 letters? i don't need MMS neither a 12MP cam but i really text a lot so plz let me know
another question people is a phone without java will make me feel missing something, i know that there is some programms that requires java to work but would i miss that
i already have a 5800 xpress music device and love it's qeeky stuff and the million apps that could make it so incredible that's why i'm looking for a more qeeky phone that will make me forget about the 5800 so that's why i'm looking for the N900
if u think that i don't have to go for it plz reply even if u think that it's the good choice i'll be greatfull to get ur opinions
dreamer151, 05 May 2011@mark
well, i think the choice should be based on your needs.see, the two handsets are of d... more10x so much bro i really like the N900 and want to buy it but the reason behind my question was peoples who says that it's not so good and if u buy the C7 u're buying a new technology
for me, after i had see videos posted on youtube about the N900 i loved it more
all that i wanna say is that i don't wanna regret my choice that's all & i think that even N8 doesn't beat the N900
10x again buddy
CHANAKA, 07 May 2011maa bro N900 iz best y Im say so C7 has so many sofware fault...... go get ur N900where can i get free themes to this n900? help please
sheraz, 05 May 2011hi can some body tell me that how i can enhance the application downlading storage capacity b... moresure. you should flash your phone with a new vannila for 5 or 8 gig app storage. go to maemo.org forum
very useless phone and worst battery back up......no service no features no video calling.....very high rate compared to other handsets...company service and sales too poor...
if you dont mind having a massive phone and you are VERY computer literate than this is the right phone for you,
Is it good? well how good do you want it to be?
it is the most customizable phone out there and is secondly a phone and firstly a mini computer so if u dont know your stuff then you wont be happy with it as it will just be an empty shell of a phone but if you know what you are doing then it is an amazingly powerfull tool and I hardly use mine as a phone
STUPID OS..much better if you go for ANDROID-iOS a lot more stable and best GUI...this?..i think i wont match android..
Mark, 04 May 2011hi guys
i have a question and hope that u can help me i like the N900 since it was released ... moreNot, that's not true... The Maemo OS is quite stable, with nice and light IU...
Absolutelly recommended for all geeks.
Mark, 04 May 2011hi guys i have a question and hope that u can help me i like the N900 since it was released ... moreI would definitely reccomend the N900 over the C6. The C6 maybe newer but the n900 is hands down better than that basic phone.
i cant believe how rubbish this phone is, but it definitely suits my personality
can some body tell me that how i can enhance the application downlading storage capacity because by default only 1 gb is avalaible for applicaton downloading.
which is very low and many of games and applications can not install due to low storage capacity
even 32 gb memory; then why only 1 gb for applications
please help me and answer the question that how storage capacity for application downloading can enhance upward to 1 gb
well, i think the choice should be based on your needs.see, the two handsets are of different worlds of their own.if u want more power and "freedom" on your phone then the n900 will suit u best.while the c7 offers u simplicity.-i mean c7 has more characteristics of a "phone" than the n900 which is more on "geeky stuff".
let me correct u.the n900 has better camera over c7.y? it's a 5megapixel-carl zeiss-certified lens, and has autofocus while c7 has 8megapixels but doesn't have autofocus.
hope i can help. :) :) :)
