hi im nokia lover..nokia n900 just arrive in Malaysia and its fantastic phone ever..i like the n900 design very much and i love big phone..bigger screen much better..i dont care if its heavy or what..what the most like about this phone is its have multi funtion touch n keypad and used OS moemo..cant wait to have it.
Does it mean it can accept java apps....??? What a shame for such a device
Just downloaded and installed the new Opera Browser on my N900. No bugs detected (so far).
nokia n900 is the king of the mobile phones it's not only a mobile phone it's a mini laptop smart notebook it's better than the vedio game machine apple i phone 3gs i had the both and i use the i phone 3gs to playing games only but i use the nokia n900 to do everything on it i love this tablet.
[deleted post]Demetrius, you got it all wrong. Dont polish your screen, u must go to iTunes and use a creditcard, then you download the app gayScreenClean and it will be perfect, cost only a few hundred dollars a month to buy useless stuff there! Great! Lack of apps? NO, we have 100,000 useless apps for our gay900 =)
I love you guys, kiss kiss, and remember always wear matching colors eh?
Jay, 13 May 2010Absense of Java is big disadvantage
Only document viewer, editor should be there.
As per cos... moreFull Java in webbrowser! Install Easy Debian and fire up Iceweasel, its not touch optimised and doesnt run to fast compared to the maemo browser, but it works and will display any webpage correctly (except activeX, which noone wants anyway). You dont get better support for advanced web pages on any handheld device.
Small java apps? Yeah, im sure u can run them in Easy Debian, one way or the other, i didnt try but im sure its possible.
For Pinoys, Uzzap is available as java applet for Ubuntu, i have used this on my Debian Lenny desktop computer, its worth a try in Easy Debian also... If anyone tried den bounce back, or if u wanna try then its available on uzzap.com sumwer
salman shah, 13 May 2010good better best i have one question tell me software version on n900Hi,Salman!
I haven't updated any files so must be the original.
good better best i have one question tell me software version on n900
Had the N900 for a week now and generally enjoying using it apart from some niggles. The main one is the stuttering replay of videos on the web even when connected through wifi. Has anyone else had the same problem? I thought Flash 9.4 was supposed to take care of all that.
Today, I had to do a factory reset as it stopped playing any videos or mp3s installed on the unit. "This codec is not supported" even though it was fine last night. Anyway, doing a reset seems to have done the trick, for now.
Anyone heard when the official update is coming?
tiro, 12 May 2010I have had the Nokia 900 for about 2 months and i have only used it twice when my battery had ... moreYou're 100% right. Technically N900 is a well built device, but Nokia made a huge marketing mistake - the Maemo OS is premature & it will take long time to fix all the bugs. The other times famous brand becomes a disappointment
Nokia. When shd we expect official Java on N900?. We are still waiting for Portrait Mode & MMS. And we need more apps PLEASE (that is what Apple is bragging about) N900 is more than a phone, dont make it less.

As per cost, its not value for money
tiro, 12 May 2010I have had the Nokia 900 for about 2 months and i have only used it twice when my battery had ... moreI agree with you 100%. Nice multitasking and web browsing, but no apps and other problems. I was constantly having bluetooth wifi connection problems. Bluetooth headset was constantly disconnecting and connecting while using wifi internet. I contacted tech support and they were of no help. I asked almost everybody I could, but couldn't get a solution to the problem that I was having. I returned it back to the store and got my money back. I will wait a couple of months to see if they fix those issues and buy again or go with N8.
smith usa, 11 May 2010well guys fight over...N900 is the best no comparison for this Device wid anyone other..nor so... moreI have had the Nokia 900 for about 2 months and i have only used it twice when my battery had died on my cliq. I think that the N900 is a horrible phone. No MMS, No apps, very big, its not practical and no rotating screen. But one thing that's nice about this phone is the internet browsing and the multitasking but that is about it. other than that its not practical at all. Also i cant seem to hard reset it. It freezes while hard resetting. For the price not worth it at all.
Hi guy, I bought N900 last 2 months Is good performance If you want to have mini computer with phone usage better you buy NOKIA N900 but if you want to have the better phone capaba;ity with computer usage you buy other than N900/ THINK BEFORE U CHOOSE but I prefer anf recomend N900/
