this is a wonderful phone no doubt but ,I bought my cell and its having problems withe the charging connector .I showed it to a technician and he says that the print has come out with the connector . moreover the chipboard doesn't support soldering its totally difficult any help please .. what can i do to fix this .. love my cell very much ...plz help desperate !!
The best phone I've ever seen. Currently with no equivalent.
Specialy if you have some expirience with linux, you'll love it, 'cose you can pretty much do whatever you have done or your home lnx.
On the topic about the battery life -> there's a 'battery-patch' you can read about it on the official forum, it will extend your life quite a lot.... + i'll suggest speed patch too...it makes cgroups and will make everything seem to work quite faster...and while on the subject, the other package you can add is swapable...it will add compcache (ramzswap) witch will... let's say trick your device to behave like you have a bit more RAM and again speed up things quite a lot :)
On the Q what you can do with the phone ....well... I still havent fount what I can do with other phone or even PC that I can't do with the nokia....
Oh and let's not forget , opensource (at least most parts)
Pls. I'v never use this phone(N900) before, and at this instance- I'v got a seller for a cheap price! But then, I want to know if this phone can work as Android(?). Secondly, its sopposing 32GB has reduced to 27GB. Third, I dont see any special pre-installed applications. Again, I want to know if its third-party applicatins are available. PLEASE I need someone to address this issue urgently! Cus its what will aid me determine if I should buy this phone. Thanks alot!!!

King, 11 Aug 2012What Is The Battery Life Of This Phone....??? How Many days....???i have this great phone for the past 2 years by now..
regarding the battery life..you need to rewords your quations..you should ask how many houres does it remain..because one of the major issue with this jaint tablet...is the quick battery drain..so if you gona make phone calls..browse the web..watch youtube..it should not last a day..max is a day or less.
but when you look at the other side...its one hell of a device.

On A Lighter Note, As They Say, Even Spiderman Needs Help.. So Do I... :)
I Had Already Tried What U Told.. I Flashed My Device With All The Possible OS Versions Available But Still I Could Not Manage To Get My IMEI Written In My Device.. At Last, I Wrote About My Problem To Nokia & Like You, They Also Suggested Me To Submit The Device In Customer Care Center.. So, Now I Will Do The Same.. Device Is Out Of Warranty So M Not Sure About Their Response... :)
While Searching The Solution Of This Problem, I Came Across Many Interesting Software/Apps Of Our Device:
(1) Download "Open Media Player" From Extras-Devel Repository To Use The Default Media Player In Fully Operational Portrait Mode..
(2) Following Is The Tutorial To Install ICS4.0.3 On N900..
The Page Is In Spanish So Use The Translator Accordingly... ;)
This Tutorial Requires The Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 Installed Already.. So To Install That, Here Is The Tutorial For That..
For The Time Being, I Am Enjoying All The Tablet Features Of My N900.. :)
