Im hoping for a stripped down version of OpenOffice, you can already install OpenOffice by installing Debian on it (in addition to Maemo, not instead of, so no need to worry if you do this)

I just bought my new N900 today & for me it's best NOKIA phone ever....
Dude, at last i bought n9000 and its awesome. dont take anyboby's advice and choose a phone by yourself. at first select which option u want in ur phone and then select ur phone. i download movie in my phone and then enjoy that in my big flat tv using tv out cable. picture qualily remain same as it looks in phone. sometimes i use fm transmitter and everybody of my family share the same music. there are lots more thing. n900 worths its price. thank u.

With respect - I have found that leaving the phone with WiFi switched on does not drain the battery so much as searching for a Wifi to hook up to. With this I found that not only did the battery completely drain from full to empty in 4 hours but it also heated up considerably.
I work from home with WiFi on in my home all day and I only have to charge the phone every 1½ to 2 days.
