deep space bar, 19 Mar 2010i tried and no luck
what's the process how to get that updateoh, hmmm, your situation is a bit tricky, you might nedd to re-flash your device and install a GLOBAL firmware that is the most updated firmware.
but you can wait, or you may have the update, go to settings, about product, there you will see the firmware installed
zohal786, 19 Mar 2010+1 for Resistive, bcuz its more accurate*I completely agree

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970i do not know what the one your calling re-tard is talkin about,
most probably, capacitive users have the conclusion that resistive is not sensitive enough or not properly working at all.
its like, "wow cool touch phone! whoops! its a resistive touch not cool at all" bang! thats it.
well i myself used an HTC Dream (cant remember if its really Dream) and the resistive touch screen of the n97 is more sensitive than the capacitive touch of the HTC Dream,
gabby131, 19 Mar 2010thats only in UK, other locations, i believe, already have the update about a month ago.Okay thanks. I thought that was the case just wasnt sure.
Moni, 19 Mar 2010Oh! God Damn! N900 is very poor quality resistive touch screen device. Mind it, resistive touc... moreI own the Droid which is capacitive and the N900 which is resistive and capactive is absolutly horrible! Not accurate at all! I prefer resistive any day in my opinion.
Barcode, 19 Mar 2010is that for everyone? i havent heard about itthats only in UK, other locations, i believe, already have the update about a month ago.
i believe that capacitive touch that registers on infrared and thermals is the future, but im a fan of resistive touch coz it registers on physical pressure, can use anything other than my fingers with it.
zohal786, 19 Mar 2010thx mate anyways!
But the issue I mentioned was lyk when I play certain dvdrips frm the phone... morehmm, that is weird, cant figure that out, need to see myself.
-creeps, i said the L earpiece coz i always put the R piece on my left ear, you are correct.
mohd, 19 Mar 2010this is the best phone nokia ever builti agree, first phone with full flash, full html browsing, first phone in Maemo, first hacker friendly phone, first heavy and bulky phone, first to support divx, xvid and pdf
Oh! God Damn! N900 is very poor quality resistive touch screen device. Mind it, resistive touch screen can't detect human touch rather than press. So, you have to press on the screen to operate Nokia N900.
If you want a real powerful touch screen device & If you want to control your phone by your finger's gentle touch then go for capacitive touch screen phones like HTC Hero, iPhone 3gs, Nokia X6. Becoz those phone are capacitive touch screen phone & can detect a very gentle human touch. Touch sensitivity is the very very important issue on a touch screen phone.
NOW IT'S YOUR CHOESE TO TAKE YOUR TOUCH SCREEN PHONE. IF I CANNOT CONTROL MY PHONE BY MY FINGER TOUCH, WHY I WILL BUY THAT ONE?
