Iphone uses Triband 3G.Nokia N900 well guess...
Nokia N900 is incomplete,no USA version.
Thanks for the responses, what would you say the disadvantages from going to the n900 from the n97 are?
i too, have gone from n97 to n900...and i must say the user interface is of a whole different world. the web browsing functionality on the n900 is by far the best i've ever experienced, and yes, even better than that of the iphone.(ex-iphone owner as well). although there aren't much software or apps for the n900 yet, but with the open source nature of the device OS, i wouldn't worry too much about not having hundreds, if not, thousands of apps to come in the future. i would recommend the n900 to those that are at least somewhat knowledgeble of "tweeking" your cellphone. after all, it is not a phone for everyone. as engaget review puts it, "it is a internet tablet with mobile phone function, not the other way around."
Regards,
Anonymous, 08 Feb 2010i have gone from the N97 to the N900.

\m/ N900 TRULY ROCKS!! \m/
hhhhhhhhhh, 08 Feb 2010plzzzzz tell me which is better at gaming...iphone 3g or n900If you need only a few calls & messages and a little need of browsing, go for iPhone. If you want more than that, go for N900.
The things that really suck in iPhone are:
1. A lot of limitation. You are bound for iTunes synchronization for every breath you take with iPhone.
2. Really really poor battery. And the stupidity, you can never change your battery yourself. You have to take it to service center who will screw open the set and change the battery and yes, it costs high.
3. There is no multitasking in iPhone at aaaalllll.
4. There is no way you can turn off Data. Suppose you are playing a Free game downloaded from iTunes and an ad is continuously displaying there, it is coming from web, so you are constantly being charged for operator data charges. No Nokia does this crap.
These are only a few examples. There are a lot more which put iPhone far behind N900. However, if you like only beautiful animations, fading pop ups, fancy fashionable movements, then go for iPhone. And if you need a useful and feature-full mobile set, go for Nokia.
Mike - Cpw, 08 Feb 2010Has anybody gone from the N97 to this phone?
What would you say the pros/cons are?I had an N97 and switched to N900. You'll notice a big difference..
1. the browsing is Perfect
2. Graphics are so damn sharp and clear
3. the Touch screen is smother and more accurate
4. Processor speed is amazing and the operating system is so power comparing to N97.
