0v0, 28 Jan 2010yea, agree with you,,,
But there are some features Nokia ignored to add from the beginning!... morei also saw that too.
maybe nokia just made the n900 for internet tablet use and the phone features are just additional or minimal upgrade. at least n900 can send and receive calls and txts in an internet tablet device. thats good for me.
i also have a nokia n97, which is more useful for me in terms of office and business use like editing docs and organizing schedules.
i like the n97's fashionable style,
"simplicity is beauty" is what can i say in n900's style
Anonymous, 28 Jan 2010Except that WindMobile doesn't allow the use of unlocked phones yet....o_O Um what? Of course they allow unlocked phones. :S Do you know how many WIND customers already have n900s?

we Hope to see a complete N900 like the N97, it is indeed very complete devise that provides customers needs & wants.
About the battery, it is not that big deal, you can buy 2 ...:) or buy from other company with high capacity...
0v0, 28 Jan 2010I believe that so far N900 has maaannny bugs & software problems....:(
Hope to see new ... morephones have their issues. the good thing about n900 is that its open source, you can easily modify the bugs that you have....for yourself. if you are a linux expert, you'll feel at home with the programing of n900.
since i got this phone, i've been studying about maemo and linux. im not a computer expert or programming wiz as we can see. there is an organization for maemo devices on the web and they can help you, not to be a programmer, but to show how can we optimize this device
battery issue, 28 Jan 2010I don't get it.. are we really talking about n900 battery issue cos unlike all other smart pho... morei highly agree with you, as you can see, many of us have issues on the battery, but for me, and for those who are with me, the battery power is really an issue, in fact, its normal. "a fast phone/device has also fast battery life" even though if this device is powered by a 1500 mah battery, it will give us additional using time in the phone features, and the hours in wi-fi and GPS would be the same. So thats why i carry a wireless charger, usb cable, and my 5800 with me.
Bought the N900 before a week. I have updated the MAEMO to the latest release. to be honest, the handset is a new great experience.
fast, clear, solid, awesome multitasking method, smooth browser, good camera, excellent voip calls and GUI, easy shortcuts and 0 problems so far.
I was worried from the landscape mode, but I was proved wrong as it is way much better to use this way (at least for me).
the battery lasts for a day or less when being used normally. besides that, it is perfect and knocks out other phones.
Many applications are launched and more are yet to come.
way to go Nokia.
its very coool set i fell in love with it, i have sold my iphone after buying n900 it works fast and it have very strong processor ,many new feature i.e online skype ,im, maps ,sms converstaion .etc etc
my opinion is GO FOR IT
Hello Guys i bought Nokia N900 from Ebay nd using it in India with Reliance GSM SIM its working but not able to get GPRS setting as reliance says the handset is not in data base anyone can help me
I believe that so far N900 has maaannny bugs & software problems....:(
Hope to see new up-date to overcome theeeeessssssssseeeeeeee bugs..
Nokia & Maemo, please work hard...
deep space bar, 27 Jan 2010wait till WINDmobile goes to quebec in toronto is beautiful and as you can see i'm using my No... moreExcept that WindMobile doesn't allow the use of unlocked phones yet....
Anonymous, 28 Jan 2010I checked the battery of my N900 and it lasted for a day with the following usage.
1. Made ca... moredo you have N900 and have you used it? else don't just throw messages by reading some blog articles....
Past monday, I went for a 2 hr long drive with my wife and cousin and that was also the first time I used the GPS in my N900 to find the routes....we used it for more than a hour.... besides GPS, i made some calls and used the camera to shoot some snaps and video.....the battery lasted throughout the day....besides i know how to make the most out of the battery....
gabby131, 27 Jan 2010i can only use the device at maximum every weekends, wi-fi with widgets and chat on social net... moresame here....only on weekends i use the features like wifi / gps....otherwise its just bluetooth pairing with my car kit, alls for like an hour or so, then sms about 10-20, browsing important things for like 10-15 mins...
I don't get it.. are we really talking about n900 battery issue cos unlike all other smart phones i know the battery of nokia phones is replaceble and sometimes interchangeable, keep two batteries!!!!
So looking at the details of the newly anounced Apple IPad. Nokia has absolutely nothing to worry about. N900 rules!
