Their customers service and their prices are the worst.
If I was looking for the best 3G network here in SF, I would go for Verizon.
Their customers service looks nice and their network seems unbelievable. But prices are still a little expensive and they are using CDMA.
I would think about it if I wanted the DROID, but the N900 looks waaaaaay much nicer to me.
I might still consider it only because of the price difference.
hi guys,i want to know about front camera,is it possible to use it as web cam?plz inform me ,this is urgent ,and i ur reply will be appreciated, tnx
To all those who are asking again and again about the release in India. Nokia has clearly stated the initial release is targeted for UK, Russia and North America Only.
Asia and other regions will be released in End of December or January 2010.
vinny, 16 Nov 2009actually I need to thank you.
I just expected the N900 to work on AT&T 3G bandwidth.

I know that T-Mobile have rolled out some new price plans so I hope that things work out for you. Personally I wouldn't buy a smartphone just to use it with EDGE. In fact I'm unhappy about the removal of all US 3G frequencies from most new smartphones and I only spend a few weeks there a year.
As much as I'd like to I've never been able to try the T-Mobile USA data network (when roaming) because their 3G frequencies are incompatible with my phones and I can't use EDGE on my prepaid TM USA SIM because they don't allow users to buy a data package (unless you have a Sidekick).
I did get a AT&T SIM card this summer when I was in Miami (because they allow data on prepaid) and all I can say is that their 3G network is a joke on the East Coast. I didn't get a decent consistent strong 3G signal until I was in the terminal at JFK preparing to leave the USA.
I think that AT&T's signal is better in major West Coast cities than it is on the East Coast (it was pretty bad in SF though) but I have to say that I've rarely had a strong 3G signal while roaming on the AT&T network no matter where I was.
I know that T-Mobile have been continuing with their 3G network rollout (with renewed commitment to this from parents DT) and I believe that they are trying to complete that rollout and also upgrade their network to 7.2Mbps by this end of the year. They plan to upgrade again to 21Mbps in 2010.
AT&T on the other hand plan to upgrade their network to 7.2Mbps in 2010 but from my experience of their network I would say that it won't make any difference to their end users.

Midas, 16 Nov 2009Just used the n900 today in nokia flagship store. better than i thought it would be and also s... morehey where did you get the information on the dates about vodafone and the release date?
Just used the n900 today in nokia flagship store. better than i thought it would be and also smaller than i thought it would be. It has a built in FM radio.. most sites ive looked at have said its not available, but it is and i saw it. the radip app is built in software, not 3rd party. it is true that it doesnt have mms, but like the nokia rep said, who really uses mms these days??? the touch screen even though its capacitive i was amazed by the feedback response. seriously you only had to touch the screen lightly for any reaction. camera was amazing compared to the reps n95 8gb, video recording is in nHD at 30fps (unlike most sites saying its only 25fps). i didnt have much time to see any of the other features. as with the design and build quality, it feels very solid. and the slide mechanism very stable. all in all great phone so far... and I Pre-Ordered It haha! UK release is thursday 20th sim free in nokia stores, Vodafone and T-mobile will be getting it on 30th November.. (UK, not sure about other locations)
unSungLoser, 16 Nov 2009just had an email from Nokia network manager. the release in UK is futher delayed. what on ear... moreI got a similar response when I popped in the flagship store today, however I got to have a go on it today. I am very impressed. The screen is very responsive but I found the mouse cursor strange and the circling to zoom takes some getting used to. The screen image is very sharp, a lot better than most phones out and it's very fast. Bounce is a very good game. It loads pages very quickly and found no lag when viewing YouTube and Engadget. Cant wait till Friday and hopefully this beast will be mine. Fingers crossed!
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Good question. Other phones that will be lauched next year already have previews and n900 has nothing here.
people cant keep their money for life waiting for nokia to contuine to delay the n900, man people just move on or better still let another company comes up with this type of product and that will cost them another lost. most people have pre order it and cant wait any more. by the end of this people will start canceling their order and look some where else. good luck to nokia
unSungLoser, 16 Nov 2009just had an email from Nokia network manager. the release in UK is futher delayed. what on ear... moreDear unSungloser,
I suspect this further delay is not Nokia but the usual unreliability of the delivery firms in the UK. I've lived in the UK for 31 years and its been going down the pan bit by bit.
Don't blame Nokia!
Gsmarena. Its my request to you please post the review of Nokia N900 as soon as possible. Thank you.Gsmarena is the best site ever.

Yes we were expecting it on 16th Nov 2009 but the release has been delayed. I'm expecting it Thursday/Friday...but this is not a confirmed date.
