"Open Office being made by Sun is heavily reliant on Java...
...so how's the Java support on the N900?"
There are also screenshots of open office runing on N900.
As for mms it's due to either release date or christmas! Since we're talking nokia you can be sure it won't take 3 years to come (and even that with errors*).

Anonymous, 16 Oct 2009Doesn't have it!
Doesn't need it!
Maemo rules! Java is actually coming aswell and not lame MIDP, but REAL java just like on your pc.
As for satio, whre's the USB? what's that pop-port, is it a toy phone?
What? sony finally went above VGA... oops no they didn't, they've just discovered it. Why not HD, like i8910 / omnia HD?
MMS coming, HD video coming, radio HERE!
How's satio goanna do with 1000 mAh? take 2 photos and shut down?
And yes, for the 50 grams more it weight, it actually is on the UMPC site.
And what happened to sony's last symbian line, the UIQ? oops, it went broke and now sony's doing their own customisations again... OUCH they never learn, do they?
So that about satio + X2 you need two phones to "pwn" one?
And did you know neither iPhone, nor satio and X2 are made by their respective owners because they don't have the tech to make phones???
They're all foxconn, made in china by people who are paid 100$ a month and cost 100$ to make (each!).
How much do you pay?
Anonymous, 16 Oct 2009What X up in the right corner? I don't see one. Then you're probably using an iphone?
Saryu, 16 Oct 2009it has... just need to install 3rd party software n i think its not a big problem to install 1... morePlease go to this site http://maemo.nokia.com/maemo-select/ and you will see the apps already out and under development even before the N900 is released. Hope this helps with your decision! For me N900 is all I could want as I can live without all the silly apps other phones have. Soon they'll have to get an app to help to find the app they want.

No mms is another issue,, not really much for me though because i never use mms also.. some people claim the battery is low, which another issue to watch.. still it's the best phone for me ( at least for now )
Oh no... I've been following this phone. No FM radio, future compatibility issues, and now no JAVA.
It was almost the phone for me, now I'm not sure. But let's see when it's out there in the wild...
Anyway, if yes, then I may go HTC and/or Android. Now I doubt even if Maemo will ever really be. Java issue may hinder adoption (Java is arguably *the* app environment for phones). And besides, if the N920 rumors are true, then nobody will buy a 4 inch phone (a few here and there). And by then the mobile bandwagon will have already departed.
And by looking at the Q financial results, they better be careful...
this is the phone ive been looking for from nokia.. high processor with graphic boost means its same with iphone 3gs (i don wan buy iphone coz the model is outdated even though its a good phone)... XVID support with high memmory. both touchscreen n keyboard.. i dont know about maemo 5, but from wat i see from utube is nice.. gonna wait for the phone out then another few months to see the feedback from other user... its great.

Anonymous, 16 Oct 2009It will have the most advanced office compatibility/suite to date - open office!Open Office being made by Sun is heavily reliant on Java...
...so how's the Java support on the N900?
deep space bar, 16 Oct 2009FAIL
it doesn't even work properly let alone having the feature
http:/... moreWho cares about MMS sending in the US with AT&T, Nokia only sells about 4 phones a year there anyway.
What's the bet that next week, when Apple release their quarterly result that the iPhone outsold all the N series phones put together.

n900 is like a joke
Anonymous, 16 Oct 2009what are you talking about?, with Android you can also add everything you want!Unfortunately noone does, while maemo is heavyly supported by the community, and android phones vary from very weak ones on wich your app might not even work, to a powerfull one, that's made my moto...
Moto has faied gruesome with UIQ and with A8xx, A9xx and A1000 series because of the cheap build.
And there's also the S9 bt headset that doesn't last a month...
Google should better make it's own phones rather than relying on weak greedy companies.
