Anonymous, 15 Oct 2009Thats one DISadvantage of capacitativeUnless the capacitive screen has an underlying OS specifically designed for fingers and smart enough to second guess why you are touching in a certain region of the screen, like the iPhone does.
The search buttons on this site are quite easy to use on an iPhone.
Anonymous, 15 Oct 2009The truth is you guys would love to have a capacitive screen in your nokia phones, but theres ... moreim sorry but unless you are an insect or something you do not need tons of effort for resistive. How weak are you? When i use an iphone i dont touch the screen as if its delicate, I still apply pressure naturally because i cant help it. maybe im just a man. That same amount of pressure works on resistive too so to me i dont have a problem as long as they dont lag.
Resistive can recognise finger nails, which is good for the ladies with long fingernails.Thats one advantage of capacitative.
Oh and resistive is pinpoint accurate.
Anonymous, 15 Oct 2009The truth is you guys would love to have a capacitive screen in your nokia phones, but theres ... moreAs for cost, capacitative is cheaper because it's used even in mouse pads.
Don't make me tell you again how much iPhone lacks compared to an admitted mainstream device like 5800 that's 300$ less.
But that's iSheep mentality, if it's expensive, it must be good.
Anonymous, 15 Oct 2009The truth is you guys would love to have a capacitive screen in your nokia phones, but theres ... moreIt's amazing how people take this personally. It's just a technology, calm down. For information, my current phone e90 does not have a touch screen at all, so I don't dream about anything. It was an interesting fact I wanted to share that's all.
NK, 14 Oct 2009Here some facts resistive vs capative:
*Is a pressure based system,... moreThe truth is you guys would love to have a capacitive screen in your nokia phones, but theres none.lol how can a low cost ones be better than the higher ones?
With capacitive, its less touch, less force, so you spend less energy.
If you are driving a car and you need to use your phone, it is easy with capacitive touchscreens. With your phone, you can just touch it effortlessly while it lying on the seat or hanging on a car accesory. While on your resistive touchscreens you might get crashed down on something because you need to pay more attention touching your phone!lol!
You need tons of effort, or you might just stop and make a phone call or sms.lol
or just wish its traffic on your way..lol
