Great N900 (p)review:
Believe me, it's great, mainly because of the objectivity. They mention BOTH the pros and the cons, while both fanboys and haters can't deliver the opposite of their own belief.
maria, 29 Sep 2009hmmm... Nokia cums with 256 mb ram and 600 mhz processer.. Now thats good... Also great resul... moreN900 has more virtual memory, higher screen resolution and more internal memory.
Omnia HD has a better camera, better screen and slightly better battery.
The rest is almost the same, so basicly it's up to each own's preferance, and OS of choise.
and yes i forgot... Samsung omnia hd has capacitive touch screen while nokia n900 has boring resistive touch screen...
Anonymous, 29 Sep 2009don't waste your penny on nokia phones as after a month or so another upgraded version like N9... moreI so agree with you! That's one of the many reasons why I hate Nokia. Plus this phone weights 181 grams which is just st*p*d, it also has a weak battery which I heard you'll have to charge like everyday, the resistive screen is a joke, the camera is weak with 5mp, and i agree, this phone is so cheap looking!, the keypad is so tiny and I bet on screen keyboard is much more comfortable than it. Definitely a horrible phone. There's nothing really new in it well except for the boring OS...
hmmm... Nokia cums with 256 mb ram and 600 mhz processer.. Now thats good... Also great resulotion.. But i think my samsung omnia hd easily beats this nokia too.. Look first hd is amoled with huge 3.7' screen while n900 is just tft with 3.5'..
We all know that symbian is best os.. Also its old.. But old is gold.. as alot if applications r available.
Omnia hd is 8mp with high defination video recording... While n900 is only 5mp with no high defination video recording...
There r several more advantages of omnia hd over n900.. I hav written few major ones.. I hope u all will agree with this that my samsung omnia hd is superior than this nokia n900..
I need ur all reply... Reply me.. I want to see will u made me wrong or not,.
End of iPhone
$582 for n900 worth the price

I can't post pictures of how the N900 compares to the iPhone because I don't have it and I don't intend to have it, especially now that the N900 is a 100x better device than the iPhone and for this reason bye bye iphone helo supercomputer n900 oh by the way we can make calls on this computer aswell watch out apples the king n900 is gona get you check out the specs it speaks for itself it realy does prepare to be embarresed if your next to a n900 user people Wont be intreasted in your phone they will be dripping at the mouth over the n900 users phone n900 we hale your supremacy
Even, 29 Sep 2009I've had the prototype in my hands, and yes its greater than iPhone in all aspects. It's true ... moreMe too, I am a fan of iPhone, never have trouble with it or with my iPod touch. If we use iPhone as Apple recommends, it'll be trouble free.
I've had the prototype in my hands, and yes its greater than iPhone in all aspects. It's true that a new version probably will be released shortly after, but that's the way it is with technology. IPhone is currently taking 90% of cellphone repairing companys slots at the moment. I'm personally a fan of iPhone, but as a phone, it's very troubled.
y is d battery life not shown? and all thesame i really like the phone...
why the display is so blurry? thought it outclass iphone in all aspects. the characters are hardly see clearly. does it really live up with its spec in paper?
don't waste your penny on nokia phones as after a month or so another upgraded version like N900 mini, or N901 will be released and it will be out of date. cheap looking phone anyway. good luck if you buy nokia because nokia doesn't have its own os.
Executive Vice President Dr. Ari Jaaksi answering Maemo and N900 guestions.
Nokia said the N900 will not sell as well as its other devices, as networks will be discouraged to stock it.
Nokia executive vice president Kari Tuutti told Mobile News the N900 user interface cannot be customised to include network applications, which will be a bone of contention with the networks.
As a result, Nokia may find it difficult to form network partnerships for the internet tablet, Tuutti said.
Tuutti said: "We have a good, long lasting relationship with the networks, but we understand that they may not be happy with the user interface because it cannot be customised."
Nokia executive vice president and general manager of multimedia Anssi Vanjoki also hinted sales may not be encouraging as the N900 is the fourth generation internet tablet out of Nokia's five generation programme.
Vanjoki said, although the N900 is "great product", further innovation is still to come to create a fifth evolution in internet tablet devices.
Vanjoki (pictured) said: "In 2004 I announced a five-step programme with five generations of software evolution that will come with what will be the next generation of computers.
"The Nokia 770 was the first step, the N900 is the fourth. We have one step to go before we will have what we believe is the future of computers."
