So why do you want the N900 which has an ARM Cortex A8 600 MHz processor, PowerVR SGX graphics, 256 MB RAM etc
You don't know much about technology, do you?"
This is the only things that Iphone 3GS MATCHES the N900, read: matches! It doesn't even surpass it in any area... obviosly an Iphone fanboy hasn't much to brag about.
How about the remaining specs that you didn't mention? Screen resolution? Camera? Virtual memory? Total mass storage memory? Apps availible (including ALL Flash games on the web for N900)???
Anonymous, 13 Sep 2009why n900 battery capacity is smaller than moto dext wherea it has biger display and 181gram ... moreSo what? N900 has a far better OS than Moto, since they use Android, which basicly is a gimped Maemo...
why n900 battery capacity is smaller than moto dext
wherea it has biger display and 181gram weight ???!!!!
i thinck n900 battery is torture

PERFECT ONE, will buy one immediately when available.........
Hurry up Nokia...:)
Wow the first nokia maemo based phone is close to perfection!!!
Yep, it. Does have infrared port which can be used as remote control
can't wait to see the next mamemo based phone from nokia
my suggestion for nokoa is to redesign the icons! Make it looks like 3d icons
the design of nokia pc software icons are good, the icons at n97 are ugly
nokia world 2010 are more intresting!!!!! N910 with xenon capacitive n97 look..........
Wow! A Nokia touch-screen smartphone with ARM Cortex A8 600 MHZ and Maemo Linux? This is pure awesomeness!
Nokia n900 have Infrared port
NOKIA sites listed this phone can
take 16:9 ratio photo, wide-size
most of the camera phone in the market only can take 4:3 ratio photo, if is not mistaken.
quan, 13 Sep 2009Does anyone know if this phone will support moving wallpapers or screen savers like sony erics... morei think it doesn't support live wallpaper
but it support live widget like N97 ,which almost all of the sony ericsson phone don't have
I love the phones features and all but I really hate the design! It looks like a toy! And I think 181 grams is too much for a phone. I like how they put a Linux OS in it and make it really open though...
Does anyone know if this phone will support moving wallpapers or screen savers like sony ericssons'? please respond
Nokia phone have faulty designs!! Don't buy this phone!
Take a look at the n97 fault:
The n900, the iPhone, and the Sony Ericsson Satio, are the hottest phones this year!! I think they're all good with their own capabilities and none of these are better..
iphone fanboy, 13 Sep 2009hahaha moto now joins the N900 thread, welcome!
well it seemed that majority of the mobile ... moreHaha you know Moto had to be involved here.
Well, rumors were that two devices were going to come out, so I guess it might be the Moto Sholes.
abc, 13 Sep 2009Does anyone know when Nokia releases the version that supports the 3G netowrk of North American? You can pre-order it already off from nokia's site, but I would recommend buying from expansys-usa cus it's cheaper ($549 i think compared to $649+), but it only has 3G for T-Mobile USA (1700/2100).
omran, 10 Sep 2009To all the visitors of GSMARENA.COM I have some question:
1.} Is the N900 going to take Ipho... moreThe device has not been released but based on the demos and technical specs, on paper, it will not eat at the iPhone's market. I am an iPhone user. I have the 32GB 3GS. I have had all the iPhones before.
I'm not a fanboi.
Just real honest and can acknowledge greatness where it is. Yes the iPhone has some shortcomings but they are almost all overlooked by the quality of the device.
The iPhone may not be able to do bluetooth file transfer like regular phones but it is multimedia king. A simple thing like the screen- capacitive touch against the N900's resistive touch. Resistive was a bad choice in my opinion and it was good of them to put it in the X6. And the apps in the AppStore make it a dedicated, multi capable device- pardon my oxymoron.
Therefore, it is not better than the iPhone.
As far as the Blackberry goes, you will find one or two of them making a change as long as the phone provides good enterprise support. You can tell- most iPhone users are not affected by the lack of physical keyboard. It is not needed. But it is here in the N900 and blackberry users are addicted to that tactile response. Most people will have it to compliment whatever phones they have but until Nokia can prove that the Maemo is nothing like S60, then they will have a major breakthrough.
It is not a revolutionary or game changing device but one to supplement what is already on the market.
I am interested though...

well it seemed that majority of the mobile phone experts were not happy with the new motorola android phone, there where no wow factor or something distinct to offer, its just one of the phones out there!
it cannot be compared to iPhone or N900. well better luck next time moto! c",
