The only negative part about this phone is it's weight, nothing else is bad, really!
Maemo vs Android:
Maemo allows to dual-boot (run other OS simultaneously), while Android doesn't.
Android only allows to save apps in the tiny internal memory, this isn't an issue in Maemo.
We have a clear winner!
Kean, 09 Sep 2009YUCK! Another brick with an excuse to make you part with your or your parent's hard earned money. Not everyone relies on their parents.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Iphone can't compare with this Nokia N900. Iphone can only compare with Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic or cheaper phones. Many people out there don't understand about phone features. They just heard about Iphone and they follow.
nokia_noooo, 11 Sep 2009nokia has no market in NA because...it's not a quadband 3G device...their high end phones are ... moreI could care less nokia puts out the good stuff in the acording band the i'm happy
And yes the N900 is up for pre order NAM model

Hi all. I want opinion of previous users of nokia MID. Are we able to 'save' whole web pages with pictures using the inbuilt browser? And kindly also reply whether we can open ''.CHM'' files out of the box on mamoe. Kindly reply.

nokia has no market in NA because...it's not a quadband 3G device...their high end phones are not subsidized which deter customers from buying this awesome device.
Be sure to watch this video, but it isn't in english. Bounce performs really well, it begins at 4:40.
they should have named this phone the nokia pocket rock when in trouble an cant defend yourself use the nokia pocket rock to knock his ass out
when will i see a video with potrait mode and texting with one hand........i hope nokia dindnt put all that effort into the phone and forget simple stuff such as that i hope im proved wrong
I preordered this phone and look forward to it very much. I'm checking everyday to see when it will ship. Maemo 5 looks like it will be backwards compatible with OS2008 applications, I just hope they don't reply on old apps too much because I want to use modern apps on new hardware. I had a n800 and liked it very much, but of course it wasn't a phone and would drain your battery if you left it connected. Besides that the Widgets worked beautifully if only a few I liked. I want to see hardware acceleration in every app, even if it's just to make the menu scroll smoother. I'm really happy with Nokia for this , I was about to jump ship and swim to Windows Mobile 6.5
I was tired of hearing Nokia say they don't need 3D acceleration and watch everyone leave and go to Iphone for nice 3d accelerated games. By keeping Maemo 5 and up for only High end phones Nokia will finally bring balance back because now anyone writing apps or games for Maemo will always be able to write it using 3d acceleration and not worry about compatibility with people who don't have the Cortex-A8 or better. This REALLY Pissed me off for my Nokia N95 because what's the point of having H/A if only a few games use it? anyway I'll be waiting for it to make my final judgement.
