I believe this was discussed a whileback and it then end the dvice provided format only. The user (and I have done it) can scan an defrag using the PC just like any externa HDD(Make sure its in the charger since it can take while).

Man, see this, it's written on mobile-review:
"The speaker playing all the tunes finds its place under the screen – even though it is loud enough, the one of the N91 still overcomes it."
Go see for yourself at:
Guys as it's written on manual dat by going to Menu>Tools>Hard Drive>Options>Tools. We have three options:
But I get only one option, that is to just format the hard drive either quick or full. Why is dat?
I've also attached a screenshot, click on the link below for screenshot.
Wating for a reply.........
Guys any idea where can I get all the preinstalled stuff and all those Live8 videos? Or can anybody upload em on any website?
Coz I've fully formatted my phone and HDD.
---where'd you find the n93? i'm from the phils too, i've seen the k800 already which by the way looks good. but i haven't seen the n93 yet? it's not even out yet, or is it?
1) backing up the whole HDD is exactly right so that was good. However the DRM rights (contacts, settings too) are kept in the phone memory not the HDD so that is why it has to be backed up as well. Keep that in mind in the future incase you actually buy any protected ringtones, music etc. As for the live 8 videos etc ---to be honest who really cares.
2) I missed the first part of your post last time. What do you mean they loaded an older version of sw? You mean you had 1.10 already and they put 1.00? Or do you mean you had 1.00 and they put back 1.00. Either way they screwed up and tell them to re-do it.
As for doing it from the internet - I would wait until Nokia offers that officially. The nice woman I talked to on the phone , like I said before, hinted this is coming in late August or early september. I am excited about this (if she is right)
well the nokia service center did not offer the back up procedure and i did not do it the way u supposed i would ie. using pc suite instead i have logged on through the mass storage and copied each and every file but at last when i recieved it after installing the OLD software i noticed that only the phones memory stuff was deleted but every thing that is on HDD was never touched and now really u have got it 2 my mind i will send nokia an e-mail complaining about this huge mistake (installing an older verion)
and yet the procedure of having the new software copy in the local nokia service centers will take along time so could u advice a secure version 2 be downloaded
and from what site
lately i acquired an address from this review and tried to downloaded and they asked for a DVD writer why is that
I have had my N91 for two weeks now and its amazing! The sounds is incredible (I dont even listen to my IPOD anymore) and the wifi is great. I love the stainless steel and it is not too big at least in my opinion!, I have software 1.10.30 for those intertested and no problems. Just bought some BOSE headphones - brilliant!!
Steve - a music lover and N91 lover (sorry about the test post below by the way)
Sounds like the HDD got corrupted by some 3rd party application??? (just a guess). First if possible backup your phone memory using PC suite and the HDD contents (use PC suite if you have to) Try reformatting it using the PC (USB mass storage). Also *#7370# to clean up phone memory
If that doesnt work then bring to the service centre (ask for the latest firmware while you are at it)
Did you back up your c drive on the phone using PC suite before you brought it in? This would have backed up your activation keys. Even so the service center I brought it to also backed up my "user data" from my phone memory as they called it as a precaution. To be honest I got rid of that almost 200 Mbytes of stuff after a few weeks since I wanted the space.
Another person who posted a while back said their servuce center was able to gove them the keys for the songs but for the vidoes theye were not allowe due to legal thingy with the video people.
The voice quality may be the same on the N93 but listen to the MUSIC playback (that is wheere the audio chip comes into play in music and video playback)..there is no comparison.
hey i am facing this problem 2, i experienced it after taking it 2 the service center on which they installed a latest firmware which was an older 1 than the 1 that was on the mobile
N93 is now available in Philipines & let me surprise you guys by sayin that it has similar voice Quality to 91. I tested it my self. Right now i am on N91-1 but mannn just have a look at N93...Awsome music, brilliant display..it makes 91 a poor relative..trust me...
Hi.... im having a big problem with my n91 fone... i have to remove the battery cover to start up the fone but the hdd is missing and when battery cover plug in it crushes...Y? plz help.....
anybody knows where i can get the activation key because my video clips that are pre installed (live videos) are not working anymore they are asking for activation keys... anyone? help pls... tnx in advance
N91: The N91 is the ONLY N-series from Nokia for a long while to come that has the special Audio chipset that makes the sound awesome. The N93 and the N73 etc do not have this. If you are a music lover When you listen to your N91 then go listen to an N93, N73 and (hedaphones not the hands free speaker which is not how a music devive is judged bu audiophiles) you will be happy with your purchase.
Sounds like you have a Firmware issue. Whtaever use case that is common to you (we all use the phone in different ways) is causeing an issue. I suggest be very clear to the Nokia Service Centre and say I want 1.10 (*#0000# to check)
