Does it have any problem with wi fi.really wanna know..i donot want phone with any problems.
Have you tried getting your seetings sent to your phone directly from the nokia site? Frankly the CSR in the US knows nothing other than the models that has been released here. They even try playing wiht other settings and screw your phone. Beware. From my personal experience, they dont even help much if you got the phone unlocked from somewhere else.
I hope you are using a cingular SIM with EDGE support like what T-mobile USA does.
It's nice to know that there are people out there who are cool about helping others. I have an unlocked Nokia 6680 and use it an AT&T unlimited data plan, and it works great. So, I was a little put off when the n91 I waited so long for had problems connecting to the internet. It would connect only about 10 percent of the time (same location and signal strength). So I took it over to a friend who works at Cingular. He used his sim and it worked fine. Then I migrated from AT&T to Cingular and it worked. Then, about an hour later I tried to use the internet, but was unable to establish a connection. So back to Cingular to try to get different settings. The tech guy tried everything but always, "web connection time out". Everyone was amazed! Such a cool phone, but only being able to use WiFi to access the internet is not worth the price. I was told by the Cingular Rep that "their system doesn't like unlocked phones". To this I replied, "my 6680 is unlocked". To this he replied "yea, but that was with AT&T". So, what have I learned? I have learned that you really need to see if the phone you lust over will work with your network, but not just on paper comparing reviews, but by actual people who have the phone and use all the features you find important ON YOUR NETWORK!
To hklulu: shut down the phone, then turn it on and put your ear against it. After few seconds drive have to start and you can hear the sound of it. If it is not there - you have a problem with hardware. Don;t forget to put battery cover on:)))
To Steve: Disagree - best phone I've ever had. Don't know where these problems coming from - mine works just fine. Who complains that there is no WiFi??? B.S. May be you bought GSM version for China:))) It is illigal there.
Hey got this phone a week ago..what a phone man!!!play high quality music...cameras gr8...can compare it to SE...its a class apart....
I just got the n80 two days ago. I got a 2 gig card too. The music is pretty good. It comes with an audio adapter, so I can hook up my huge sony headphones to it and listen. It sounds crystal clear under the headphones.
Again if you want a strict music phone, go for the N91. But the n80 isn't shit when it comes to music. It is actually pretty good.
Hi Assuming you read my post a while a few days ago and none of that helped - then I suggest reformatting your HDD. It may be a file corruption (it can happen to SD cards, MMCs and even internal flash depening on memory manager). Also try restoring the factory settings *#7370# on keypad to start fresh. (note that both of these actions means the original sample tracks and videos are gone but that is not a big deal)
To Naufal: Are you sure the magnet is in the battery cover (example the paper clip stuck to the little rectangle)?
Also could you access the HDD from a PC using the usb cable? If you can then try formatting the HDD and reboot.
If the magnet is there and the battery cover is on completely and properly, and you have tried replacing the battery, rebooted the device etc then its time to call the Nokia care centre.
i post my opinion a few days ago. the hard disk always missings, all the mp3 songs are lost. anyone knows why like that. please! besides, recommend all the n91 users take care of the battery life, wonder it hards to support for running the hard disk, advise use the power cord to get sufficient power in listening the mp3 songs. very regards to buy it. if really a music lovers, go ahead to buy ipod. no joking. trust me
I wanna get a phone, n i'm really indecisive between the N91 & N8!
I love music bt i also love good camera & screen resolution.
Obviously, the only difference between these 2 devices is the hard disk! other than that the N80 is better (in terms of cam n resolution). I dunno anything bout the music quality in N80. So plz N80 users/fans could u help me.
Thanx in advance.
have try all your tips, but nothing happen.
n91 still say if no hard drive...
any other method??? please...
TIP: Videos. Go to the Nokia N91 FAQ web page and type in vidoe in the search bar. You will learn all about the video formats to use to put full length movies on the HDD
TIP- HDD not there - Make sure your battery cover is on fully there is a magnet in there that tells the device battery cover is on. If off then the HDD is shut off (protection against a user popping the battery out)
If that doesnt work then take the battery cover off, locate the small rectangle at the bottom right of it on the inside take a paper clip and see if you have the magnet in the battery cover maybe they missed it?
my n91 said:
"hard drive not available"
i can't access to hdd, scan, format, or anything...
help me please....
i have problem with my N91, after transfer music from pc, i get some error. try to check disk form winxp using chkdsk /f, found some error and fixed. after it my phone say "HARD DRIVE NOT AVAILABLE"
somebody help me please...
To email@example.com about video
Go to the Nokia FAQ page on the N91 and type in Video and it will answer all your questions. I ha two full length movies on my device and with the headphones its great!
To TIM and AT&T
1) N91 does support video calls just not the extra camera. I know people say hey thats stupid but its a music phone and the bulk of the video services (ie not one on one calls) offer video offereings via video call streaming (not to be confused with IP based streaming that N91 alos supports via the web browser
2) AT&T. There is no rason why you cannot use the internet there. You wont get WCDMA but AT&T does support edge. So first you need to sign up for a data package. The US is lucky in that they usually charge a flast rate monthly. Once you have signed up go to the My Own folder, Choose the settings wizard and choose the operator icon. Choose the USA (your sim may aldeady have selected that) and AT&T (sam somment). Then it will load the internet Access points to your device. Then open up the WEB (full browser) or Services (if you want a WAP page), click on a bookmark, it will list the access points then choose the AP - voila
3) You can do the same with WIFI. Just start the browser and clisk on a book mark. It will list the access points. Choose search for WLAN and when it finds it just select it. Note if its an open WLAN then away you go. If it has security then you need to set up the WEP etc (see the user manual)
I hope this helps
Has no flash, no wifi, no video conferencing. Nokia's biggest flop ever. Ugly and bulky brick :(((
