The LG VX8100 from Verizon Wireless, the Motorola ROKR and the Sony Ericsson W800 all got bad reviews in the Wall Street Journal today. See http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/05257/571388.stm.
With this concluding line, the road is wide open for ya' Nokia:
"Overall, the Motorola ROKR is nothing to write home about, and neither are its rivals. If you're desperate to have some songs on your cellphone, be our guest. But a smarter plan would be to wait for a better combo device. These aren't the phones that will replace your iPod."
N90 lacks vibration, 4GB, s60 3rd edition and FM radio
N91 lacks high-resolution screen, rotating mechanics, Zeiss optics and videoconference.
Personally I like N90 because I like imaging, videoconference and clamshell design, but N91 looks very good too.
I wonder why Nokia didn't build it with the same screen of N90 and secondary frontal camera for videocall.
Do you know if there is a tool allowing videoconference(as for Nokia 6630)?
Answer me plz., thank you
This phone is the most excellent phone i have ever come across (until the next one of course). It is spectacular. The features, the design, mine will be here in a few days and i can't wait. Only one other person in my city has one and they dont appreciate the value. They prefer airy fairy ones like the D500 etc, and they actually offered me their N91 and i refused because i want a new one, not a second hand one. And mine is coming with a special kit with Bonus Memory Cards, a lens cleaner and stereo headphones, as well as a bonus Ipod Nano and $500 worth of music downloads. I got a great deal - it really helps to know company directors.
Me thinks this phone looks ok.But then they claim of 4GB memory which is'nt true. It's Device memory is just 10MB in which u can share the phone book, calendar, messages, images and applications. 4GB is ur integrated HARD DRIVE which not be upgraded. The phone does not even have MMC slot. I dont think it will work much. Only feature which i like is the Wifi which u would find in all the o2's nowadays.
By da time dis comes out (suposed 2 b early nxt year but may get put bak again!) it may already be out ov d8. Yes its 4GB but its bin dun now an more will follow. Am sure SE an samsung will av a 3.0+ mp phone wiv 4GB dat will b smaller by summer nxt year.
i think this cellphone is nice just imagine with 4g memory it's so amazing this cellphone is great ever..
The head is bigger that the body. What the ugly phone. Got 4GB so what, the look is not nice and cound't give people a 'wow' feeling. I won't put the money on this phone totally.
Regarding the release date in the UK there was an article in the Sunday Times referring to the release of a 4gb music phone by Nokia in "Early 2006". Don't know how relaible that is (as we have heard and read of so many release dates) but I would't be surprised if this is the case.
Whoopee! Nokia now has trhe operating capital to roll this out the right way...
DOW JONES NEWSWIRES

STOCKHOLM -- Nokia Corp. raised its third-quarter earnings and sales estimates, as prices for cellphones held up better than expected and volumes grew at a faster-than-anticipated pace.
The world's largest handset maker said it sees earnings per share of between 18 European cents to 19 cents in the third quarter, up from a previous guidance of 14 cents to 17 cents.
After a mixed 2004, Nokia has recovered this year, boosting market share at the expense of smaller rivals like Siemens AG and Sony Ericsson and widening its lead over South Korea's Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.
dont worry about the volitility of the HDD. There have been significant improvements made to small hard drives recently in the area of shock resistance. Its more likely that you'll break the display than the disk.
hmmm.... 4 GB Hard disk.... Don't even dream of even accidently dropping it...
This is the hottest handset nokia has releases and im gettin it the minute it comes out it has everything except infra red.....
At least Nokia designers are at least trying to be creative, you should look at SE's phones lately they're begining to look the same....
Nokia phones have the best user interface and functions in the trade; but please, can engineers at Nokia come up with a feature-packed clamp-shell design with LONG battery life. Many consumers will be greatful !!!
the design sucks big time but the features are really good..symbian 9 very very good..and the memory it`s extraordinary...peace out Romania
hmmm... usb port... usb devices... talk about expanded possibilities? will it come out of the factory supporting usb card readers & memory, or how long till it's written? how far can series 60 be pushed? peace.
The iPod nano is not a phone, the "iPod phone" is the Motorola ROKR, and it has a maximum storage of 512MB, and cannot download music. its only claim to fame is that the UI of the music player is the same as that of an iPod. Big deal. my nokia 3300 can hold bigger memory cards than that can, as can many other phones on the market. Im really disapointed in motorola.
