Hi
Pappy,
I given my n91 to Nokia Service Care because of the HDD probem, they said it happens because i dont have a latest sw 2.20,i had 2.10.before update my phone they said your all data from phone memory will be loss, but after updating when i check my phone it shows the latest version 2.20 but my all data is present in phone memory.its not lost at all,but unfortunately audio quality has decresed certainely.the sound is too low, overall its not sounded well as like before.i tried later to reinstall 2.20 from NSU ,but there is no option to reinstaal.they said only your phone have a latest version.plz do help to sort out this problem.thanks

Regarding Battery life. Please ensure you have the latest sw (2.1 or 2.2 for the N91 and 3.1 for the N91 8GB). Also see the Nokia TIPs etc for ensuring battery life is optimized. Also if you are on a network that is weak or far away then the N91 will go to maximun power to keep the connection and reducing battery life. Finally one thing i have learned about Nokia phones
"battery full" = is a fully charged battery. One bar gone means 50% battery left. Thats right when only one bar is gone it means the remaining bars = 50% left so the last 50% appears to drain faster. Why Nokia did this geeky logarithmic scale that only engineers understand is a mystery to me.

My only problem with my N91 is the battery. It drains so fast whenever I use packet data (GPRS), from full bar, the battery indicator suddenly goes down to 1 bar. After sometime that I don't use packet data, from 1 bar, the battery indicator ridiculously goes up to full 7 bars again. My N91 is 10 months old. Anyone who's experienced this battery issue?

Maybe people just have different tastes. But for me, N91 especially the all-black version is so damn SEXY! It's so classy, very original design, fashionable, professional, & exclusive - just like the very expensive Nokia 8-series high-end fashion phones!

N91 is covered with stainless steel in almost all parts of it. Its main purpose is for protection, secondly for aesthetics. HDD has soft cloth covering around it. It's build is the best among Nokia phones. Sliding mechanism never looses even after long period of time. Great build. Average size for a S60 device. Not too bulky. Yes, it's heavy because of steel which protects the phone's HDD.

My message is for all criticisers who regreat nokia n91,they said brick as well as a bad slow phone.i must wanna mention here that they dont know about class or better quality,if they know they never given this type of statements against n91.yaa n91 is a become slow at starting when accessing hdd after that it works fast and working properly as well.when the point come on audio quality then N91 is a king of all music phones.3G,Wifi,bluetooth,usb 2.0 for fast transferring, classy look ,well built body,2m camera,4gb HDD,symbian s60v3 latest os,and greatest and finest music quality.then how you people say a worst phone?.lol.Plz dont Underestimate again.

This N91 music phone has the best build in the Nseries. The silver, grey & black versions all have the best classy design. Unlike the Nokia XpressMusic & SE Walkman phones whose design is teen-oriented, this N91 is truly one of a kind, classy, professional music phone. Those people who don't appreciate its design have classless taste. :P

I got one in it's very early days of launch. Was very excited and actually waited for it to come out. As a communication device it's good, as all nokia hand sets are. The sound quality of music play back on head phones is very good. Over all quite disappointing. Very slow. Software gets held. Needs to be restarted every now and then. Exceptionally poor and unstable battery life since day one. Heavy, bulky keys too smaal. I'll say a major design and tech failure.

"too big , too ugly, too slow , poor battery.....i dot like it at all"

You should check the 8GB version. I have this for 5 months now. Then recently I bought n95 but i gave the latter to my GF after 4 days of use and went back to n91. The screen might be bad but believe me, its capable of displaying objects like that of QVGAs only at 256 colors. But everything can be offset with the super sonic experience you'll get plus the storage capacity. not to mention its 3.5 mm jack. Battery lasts for 2 days for me.

Mpeg4 audio files sure do play on the N91. Gps, download smart2go app. But that's a very slow application. The slowest actually.
