Hey, friends! Does anybody know that there is a way to check all nokia phones. First open the IMEI of your phone by *#06#. Then check the 7th and 8th digit of the IMEI. If it is-
08 or 80- made in germany, fair quality.
01 or 10- made in finland, very good quality.
00- made in original finland factory, best quality.
02 or 20- made in china, very bad quality.
13- made in azerbizan, very bad quality and dangerous to health also.
I live in bangladesh. Since 2-3 months, mobile markets are full of china nokia sets here and they add "made in finland" written stickers and remove the "made in china" written stickers. When i didn't know the above information, i went to market and bought a nokia phone. It had a sticker of "made in finland" and the seller told me that it is the original set. Then when i knew the above information, i opened the IMEI and saw that the 7th and 8th digit is 02! So, it is made in china and it was proven when my phone started to damage regularly and i sold it. It was an irony of fate for me. Now i am an n95 user and the 7th and 8th digit of the phone is 01. So its a phone of very good quality and its really true.
LT, 12 Apr 2009my phone's lifetimer reads: 0000220:22 what does it means? thanks! It means that your n95 has been used to talk for 220 hours and 22 minutes.
english teacher, 09 Apr 2009**old phone and outdate and expencive and design is realy bad and ugly my x1 is very beter ... moreyour english is very, very bad.
I think this mobile phone very good phone.you think why? i like big mobile phone and i like smartphone.
actually i don't like slide-up mobile phone. but since my father gave me n95 for i learn to appreciate it and enjoy all features that it offer. i just hope it won't get so much outdated by the time i save money to buy another one
I've read the opinions but most of all I like it because its easy to use, has a big screen and big buttons. Not like some phones you cant see what your pressing and to see who your txting you have to use a magnifying glass.

are you from india? You have a very bad english composition.
Well duh.
The N95 is much much cheaper than the Xperia.
And older.
But still has a better camera.
And has the double slider.
Which gets it mad levels of respect.

Jose Mari, 06 Apr 2009I hope I can have this kind of phone soon... I think, It's awesome phone!!!☺Well if your planning buy this phone l have to tell you about the pros and cons I have learned of from using this phone. Pros- nice speakers, good camera (protect the lens it gets scratched!), great keypad, wi-fi, 3rd party apps (use mosh.nokia.com), long standby battery life, large screen. Cons- slider wobble (can be fixed), no camera cover, thick (a little less than an inch thick), crashes (though i think i downloaded something bad), sluggish navigation at times (again just me probably), no metal exterior! (just would have been nicer), short battery life when in use (i.e. movies, calling, running 1000000 apps at once). Well it has flaws like every other phone ever made but its been 3 years since its release and people are still gawking at its design, features, and functionality. Im currently using this device as my camera, mp3 player, mobile browser, mirror (w/ secondary camera), and phone simultaneously which I think is the biggest plus. Well, I hope this helps!
jj, 06 Apr 2009Hi guy. Does the n95 take 8gb memory cards? Should i buy this phone or should i get the n85? I... moreYeah it does, I stuck an 8GB card in mine the other day. I transfered some movies to it as well and used the TV-Out lead to watch the movies in my bedroom. So much you can do with these phones, the only downside is that the battery life is seriously bad. I have to charge mine every single day even if I don't use it. If Nokia made a better battery then this phone would be top.
