Do they suggest anything for those who have upgraded to v31?

Somebody please help! I cannot for the life of me get Nokia Maps to load to my phone. It got all the way through the installation to my phone, but when I open "maps" all I can see is the globe...then when I try to zoom in there are no streets or anything...just a blank white page with the little red dot in the middle. Also, when I go to the application manager it says that Nokia Maps is not installed (?)...I don't really want to use the GPS part, I just want to be able to view the maps...

Then nearing the anniversary, it started working intermittently, freezing, hanging. Reformat, 3-finger salute, no memory card, offline mode, did everything to narrow it down. Couldn't use the camera anymore, it hangs after one shot.
Until about 3 months ago, i saw that nokia service bulletin, about an overheating memory ic that causes freezing and hanging. I had a tech do it, 2 caps on the board, and it's working fine again...
It was probably with age, that caused it, since it wasn't there when i first got it.
Anyway, great to hear that your unit is not acting up like mine did before. Guess I had a hidden lemon when i got it new.

google for "N95-RM-159_Hang_Reset_solution"
It's a pdf file. Print it out. Take it to a service center (or a tech, mine is out of warranty and i trusted the tech) and let them do the fix...
My phone is on all the time, no hangs or freeze or anything. Oh, it does turn off.. But only when the battery drains or when I turn it off myself :). But hang or freeze? Never in the months after the fix, not once.
Try it... It's like having a new phone altogether.. Oh, and this is only for n95-1...
I had this phone for about two years or pretty much since it came out. It broke my heart though because it froze completely. If anyone has experienced this problem please post a solution. It happened before n I would leave it off for a couple hours, deep reset it and turn it back on then it would be fine. I've been checking it daily but no progress. anyhow even though this problem happened I still recommend this phone to anyone whose budget is around the n95's price range. Great phone, best of its time and the original i-phone killer.
