the slide mechanism of the n95 is bound to be loose or wobble a little after a while. you don't know when it will happen. extreme and excessive wobble is not good though.
mine is a little loose or wobbly, but it's not falling part. it works great.
Does your n95 wobble?..is it a little loose?
btw...n73 out of all the choices you've mentioned is probably the cheapest
and is still quite a capable phone
as "complete" as any other smartphones newly released
dear sir, if you are concerned about n95's sliding problem
I must tell you, after reading about phones...it seems n95 has the least problems compared to other sliders
n95 is pretty solid dear sir ehhehe
if you are interested in the n95
go for it ^_^ you wont be disappointed
as for the which is more suited for you...
n82=great flash built as a true camera phone(dark knight)
n96=massive memory great screen!
n95=screen is as good as n96 cept a little smaller
a more capable gaming device than n96
n958gb-massive memory great all arounder, no card slot though
n85=pricey yet n96-ish specs...said to be great in sounds....
hello friends pls help me i want to buy ney phone ia m conf which phone is best n95/ n82 /or n73 i read opinion most people says n95 have sliding problem pls tell me theanks in advance
VGA is always better than CIF anyhow
but from my experience, if you are to use both for video conferencing/calling
both are usually set at the lowest possible quality
both will look the same if you are to use video calling
but if you are to take pictures VGA is more useful than CIF...
nice comment there sir felipe hehehe
and In my opinion, n95 is sufficient enough to replace an ipod
well in my case...its because I dont have an ipod
I live in Costa Rica, bought my Nokia N95 1Gb in May 2008 and it works perfectly well. Pixel by pixel, atom by atom is the best portable multimedia computer ever. The videos are astonishing, my friends are fascinated. I like listen the news and music programs on the radio. The stereophonic speakers are incredible. The best thing is the GPS, it works correctly well. Symbian is synonymous of Freedom, because there are many applications of third part that, they are very useful and every day new programs appear and with more advantages. I can be connected to the social networks of my friends the whole day and I can see any page of Internet. Kiitos Nokia!
what is the difference between the n95's secondary cif camera and the n85's secondary vga camera? which is better cif or vga?
Taking my idea, eh...superphone(superman).
then you added n95 on the name...supermaN95...bravo..bravo.
if you live in the US, is firmware version 30 available here yet?
Dani, 27 Oct 2008So the 'SupermaN95' is good for Music ? could it replace a device by Apple iPod ? iPood ... moren95 is a jack of all trades, master of none device. if music is ur main concern, get the n91 or n81 or any latest xpressmusic modelsl!
Anonymous, 28 Oct 2008the phone is full of defects n its annoying to update the software just to stop it from laggin... moreyou sure you have an n95 and not one of those china made n95s? Kidding. Never experienced any lags, especially in playing mp3s. That was my biggest beef with the 6630 and the 6680, both of which i used extensively at one point. The song breaks up when an sms is received. The n70 did not do this. the n95 neither. Not sure what you mean by lagging. the camera takes time to focus, and if your memory card is not fast, the videos will be jumpy if you take it at best quality.
otherwise, it's comparable to other phones in terms of speed, menu opening, writing new messages, contacts lookup, etc.
the phone is full of defects n its annoying to update the software just to stop it from lagging.
the audio quality is bad(rather by a walkman fone thn this). if i press buttons to fast it wud lag n if a change songs it wud lag too. this fone is the worst fone ever made n i wud only reccomend this to old ppl who press buttons very slooooowly!
salahuddin, 27 Oct 2008hye...i used my n95 for 3 months... but it always restart/reboot automaticcally...why r?? al... moreDear Salahuddin , Because it's happened to me a lot since i've bought it (16 months ) , i can just say that after each time you connect your phone via usb to your PC , turn your cellphone off and then again turn it on . you know there are programs that doesn't have adaption with each other and because we can't realize them , that could be one of the best ways to solve your problem . Please let me know if it happens again to you .
Dani, 27 Oct 2008So the 'SupermaN95' is good for Music ? could it replace a device by Apple iPod ? iPood ... moreWell, i'm not really an audiophile, i just like to listen to music while i work or commute. So, as far as sound quality goes, it's ok for me. I have been leaving my ipod mini in favor of the n95. it works, and i only get to carry one device. This morning i was playing impossible sudoku, listening to mp3s while texts were coming in, then my father called. talk about a multipurpose device.
salahuddin-malaysia, 27 Oct 2008change the product code using NSS??sory eric,i don know bout that...can u xplain it to me?All devices have a product ID, usually based on the region where it was sold and in some cases, based on the operator (if operator branded). Changing the product code of an N95-1 will not do any damage to it (as far as i know, though you might brick it if done improperly. many people have tried it and have ad great success, i haven't heard of a failure yet, but the warning is there.) The firmware updater checks the model (N95-1) and the product id (printed at the back, in the battery tray, mine is 0546666). Change your product code to something generic like Euro-1 (0534841) or Euro-2 (0534844 ) then try to do a firmware update.
So the 'SupermaN95' is good for Music ?
could it replace a device by Apple iPod ?
iPood Dont Touch lol
hmm it seems nokia has implemented the same quality as the version 30 of n82 to the version 30 of n95
both have improved, on n82 I am basing this from what the people has posted over there
and on n95, I can personally say that sound quality is actually loader better bass too hehehe ^_^
Eric - Manila, 27 Oct 2008Your product id might not yet have the latest firmware (v30.0.0.015). You have to wait for it,... morechange the product code using NSS??sory eric,i don know bout that...can u xplain it to me?
