what is the difference between the n95's secondary cif camera and the n85's secondary vga camera? which is better cif or vga?
Taking my idea, eh...superphone(superman).
then you added n95 on the name...supermaN95...bravo..bravo.
if you live in the US, is firmware version 30 available here yet?
Dani, 27 Oct 2008So the 'SupermaN95' is good for Music ? could it replace a device by Apple iPod ? iPood ... moren95 is a jack of all trades, master of none device. if music is ur main concern, get the n91 or n81 or any latest xpressmusic modelsl!
Anonymous, 28 Oct 2008the phone is full of defects n its annoying to update the software just to stop it from laggin... moreyou sure you have an n95 and not one of those china made n95s? Kidding. Never experienced any lags, especially in playing mp3s. That was my biggest beef with the 6630 and the 6680, both of which i used extensively at one point. The song breaks up when an sms is received. The n70 did not do this. the n95 neither. Not sure what you mean by lagging. the camera takes time to focus, and if your memory card is not fast, the videos will be jumpy if you take it at best quality.
otherwise, it's comparable to other phones in terms of speed, menu opening, writing new messages, contacts lookup, etc.
the phone is full of defects n its annoying to update the software just to stop it from lagging.
the audio quality is bad(rather by a walkman fone thn this). if i press buttons to fast it wud lag n if a change songs it wud lag too. this fone is the worst fone ever made n i wud only reccomend this to old ppl who press buttons very slooooowly!
salahuddin, 27 Oct 2008hye...i used my n95 for 3 months... but it always restart/reboot automaticcally...why r?? al... moreDear Salahuddin , Because it's happened to me a lot since i've bought it (16 months ) , i can just say that after each time you connect your phone via usb to your PC , turn your cellphone off and then again turn it on . you know there are programs that doesn't have adaption with each other and because we can't realize them , that could be one of the best ways to solve your problem . Please let me know if it happens again to you .
Dani, 27 Oct 2008So the 'SupermaN95' is good for Music ? could it replace a device by Apple iPod ? iPood ... moreWell, i'm not really an audiophile, i just like to listen to music while i work or commute. So, as far as sound quality goes, it's ok for me. I have been leaving my ipod mini in favor of the n95. it works, and i only get to carry one device. This morning i was playing impossible sudoku, listening to mp3s while texts were coming in, then my father called. talk about a multipurpose device.
salahuddin-malaysia, 27 Oct 2008change the product code using NSS??sory eric,i don know bout that...can u xplain it to me?All devices have a product ID, usually based on the region where it was sold and in some cases, based on the operator (if operator branded). Changing the product code of an N95-1 will not do any damage to it (as far as i know, though you might brick it if done improperly. many people have tried it and have ad great success, i haven't heard of a failure yet, but the warning is there.) The firmware updater checks the model (N95-1) and the product id (printed at the back, in the battery tray, mine is 0546666). Change your product code to something generic like Euro-1 (0534841) or Euro-2 (0534844 ) then try to do a firmware update.
So the 'SupermaN95' is good for Music ?
could it replace a device by Apple iPod ?
iPood Dont Touch lol
hmm it seems nokia has implemented the same quality as the version 30 of n82 to the version 30 of n95
both have improved, on n82 I am basing this from what the people has posted over there
and on n95, I can personally say that sound quality is actually loader better bass too hehehe ^_^
Eric - Manila, 27 Oct 2008Your product id might not yet have the latest firmware (v30.0.0.015). You have to wait for it,... morechange the product code using NSS??sory eric,i don know bout that...can u xplain it to me?

You have to wait for it, or do as some do, which is to change the product code using NSS then do a firmware update. I believe this voids the warranty though.
hye...i used my n95 for 3 months...
but it always restart/reboot automaticcally...why r??
already try to upgrade to latest firmware...but,when i try to upgrade the vers(version 3.0),nokia mention me mine is da latest(vers 2.1)...anybody can help me???
Anonymous, 27 Oct 2008how is the sound quality of this phone? compare to N73, N78 and N82..never had any of those phones, last n-series i got was the n70 ME. N95 sound quality is ok. It's loud, even if you use the built-in speaker. But don't expect great sound from those, way too much treble. Stick in your favorite earphones or a decent pair of speakers (i use an altec lansing pc powered speakers), and it just sounds terrific. again, that would depend on the media you play, but the same 192-sampled mp3 on an ipod and the n95, no notieceable difference.
the n70me, you can't pump up the volume like you can on the n95. on my daily commute i can still hear the people talking on the n70. on the n95? drowns them out. and that's using the nokia earphones. would be better i think if you use an in-ear type of earphones.
how is the sound quality of this phone? compare to N73, N78 and N82..
daniel, 27 Oct 2008Please you never put your phone in a freezer i have worked for Nokia Here in Australia for 5 f... moreYeah, moist forms and stuff. I know the risk, have had cell phones for the longest time (started off without sim cards, had the first sim card phone around 96, forgot the model but it was a nokia, great phone.)
So, i know my way around phones. And to tell you the truth, i was ready to chuck the n95 away. it was useless for me. until i came across Service Bulletin No. SB-143/04.07.08 (check it out, i'm sure you can, working for nokia and all) which shows an ovewrheating IC.
stick it in the fridge, to cool it down, take it out, works wonders. Or, have a tech stick the caps in there and have a great phone again.
