this is my 3rd n95 , the reason behind this is that many a time i have tried to move away to something else e.g test the waters with other manufactures ( i am a phone shop manager) , each time i have ended back the the n95 , its a very feature packed phone with more features than any person needs , awesome camera , good gps ( using garmin x.t. mobile ) , excellent internet browsing capapbilities , nice form factor.
over all a very good phone , early firmware was a bit rubbish and battery life at the time was poor , new firmware loaded = one very well made handset.
more than pleased with mine .
nice one nokia its a blinder.
dear tommy...you could download the latest firmware if you install the nokia pc suite which comes with the n95 bundled in the box if the pc suite that you're firmware isnt updated it will it will ask you if you want to upgrade it
btw...to know your current firmware type in *#0000#
at sir toky...
though I dont own an n82 there were numerous reports that n82's speakers are on the low side....meaning...its volumes isnt as loud as that of the n95
and n82's keypads are kinda on the small side
so if you have big fingers...youll probably have a hard time texting compared to the n95...
but n82 is a very very good phone...no qualms about its build quality so far ^_^
i think the n95 will beat the n82 hands down
right now the n95 is the KING .
and wats the use buying the n96 coz there is no difference and n95 is a nice classic design
i am troubled i nid help..i realy like the style and the big screen of n95 but its low on ram and xenon while n82 black has xenon and high on ram..i am about to buy 2mrow so i am struggling which to buy..nevermind n95 8gb since im not into hard drives and prefer mmc cards..so does n95 hangs a lot and does the battery really last for a short time like how many hours? does n82 have longer batt and is easy to text and louder sound than n95?
could someone tell me how to download the latest firmware, i just got the N95 and i see everyone talking about this upgrade
hey guys i just got the phone and its GREAT! Awesome camera, interface, resolution, and the accelerometer is awesome. One problem..the battery life sux
can someone tell me how to use the rotate me software. i downloaded it to my computer but cant upload it on the phone can someone help me
as what was confirmed by sir daniel...n95 can handle 8gb flawlessly
and since it is SDHC compliant it could probably handle more than that...
some say it could handle 32gb!!
Yup, I agree 2 seconds isn't much to make a noise about, but the thing is that earlier it was instantaneous. Anyway, I solved that by changing the message storage from Phone to Memory Card and then back to Phone again. No idea why that worked, but there it is. Now, any ideas on the corrupt SIM? Anybody??
helloo every 1.... i wana know what is the latesr firmware of the nokia N-95ME....plzzz plzzz plzzzzz
Last week I bought the N95 normal edition which came with a 1 GB card. Upon opening the box & checking the software version I found it to be 20.1 and the date to be 14.02.2008. My question is do I need to update the software ? Also please guide me some free softwares & websites from where I can download them. Thanks in advance.
Can someone PLEASE post upto how much memory via micro SD I can add to my phone? Can I ad a 8GB card or at most 2/4 GB card. I need a reply quick .Thaanks! :-)
i think that N82 overcome N95 in all the way including RAM,xenon flash etc.
oh by the way, word of advice, it is never a good idea to post your IMEI!
It is your phone's Personal Identity. Stolen phones usually change their IMEI to new valid IMEI - IMEI of those phones that are not stolen to prevent network detection(yes, you can do that, and it is very easy).
post your firmware version, not IMEI!
wikipedia:The IMEI number is used by the GSM network to identify valid devices and therefore can be used to stop a stolen phone from accessing the network. For example, if a mobile phone is stolen, the owner can call his or her network provider and instruct them to "ban" the phone using its IMEI number. This renders the phone useless, regardless of whether the phone's SIM is changed.
you wont be able to increase the RAM by upgrading! it would be fixed to 64MB, maybe the software would be improved little which makes it a little bit faster and hence, would make it "seem" that there is a little bit more RAM.
But, IMHO, buy the N95 8G instead! all the mistakes in N95 is fixed in N95 8G
better battery (only slight improvement due to battery consumption of bigger screen),
8GB memory (of course)
plus 128MB RAM! (which makes chances of hanging/lagging slim to none!)
however, due to its price, you may want to consider going for N82 instead.
as between N82 and N95(original)
N82 is better feature-wise. The look is a matter of personal preference
