symbian certificates are only available for a year so in order to install themes and such that say expired certificate, you set your phone date back a year, then do the installation. after installing you just change the date back to present
i have a phone shop and have played with and tested nearly every phone available, still keep going back to my n95.fantastic phone in every aspect.battery isnt that bad really if you run it in properly from the start.best all in one device by a long shot.

"... yes, bravo indeed Nokia, bravo! Nice concept - but that's all this phone really is..."
EXACTLY! THIS PHONE IS GREAT... ON PAPER
Here's a phone you need to charge every few it's big enough not to fit in any pocket comfortably - this thing's a brick!, the phone magically restarts/reboots itself (sometimes during conversations), reception is mediocre... oh did I mention plastic? lots and lots of creaky plastic?
... yes, bravo indeed Nokia, bravo! Nice concept - but that's all this phone really is.
For the price of one of these N95's, get yourself an excellent 7MP digital cam, a good tiny MP3 player and a real cell phone. Mine's already gone after a couple of days! Now I remember why I stopped buying Nokia phones in the first place.
They should have been pulled up 2 years ago wen quality control complaints started arising about half finished fones..You would not put up with paying a premium price for a car ,,tele,,microwave,,just to get it home and its made of poor materials and does not work properly yet nokia are charging a premium for the n95..
shoddy, battery, shoddy software, shoddy construction sums it up really..Have now sold this and got the samsung g600..What if u need to make a call it could be up to 2 mins before u get to make it after a crash..Nokia needs to get symbian sorted plus with a slider thats so loose and a back that peels off and a fone that needs a 1600ma batt at least its realy awful for a fone costing £600
hi... i qm thinking of getting this phone... does this support the new N-Gage games?
Go tools, settings, phone, network set to GSM. The battery lasts at least 3 - 4 days on the N95-1 Fantastic phone!
Best Mobile , Good sound, good camera, Fast than other Nseries, GD GPS, Allover its a gd mobile ..
It is the best camera phone in the market today, even beats SE K850! Just read the review and look at the pictures comparison! Nokia shoots better photos now than SE!
There is nothing bad about this phone..the only thing you can really say, is maybe the sluggish ness and the battery life..the rest is all good. THis phone is pact with a lot of stuf!! i have the K850 as well..and trust me if you have both youd go for the N95...i really liked both phones, so i got them both..but i decided to keep the N95 and give away my k850 to my mom..anyhoo, if you are unsure on which to choose, feel free to email me..
i love it i have it but it came with a 1 GB card not a 128 mb one so i am not complaning ha its deadly love it free internet ha
The phone is Awesome ! it does everything you would want a smart phone to do and more. The battery life is short but this is a small penalty to pay for all the functions that you have.Charging it up every 1 - 2 days is normal for all phones like this.
This phone has a lot of features.
Its too bad it sucks at a lot of things.
GPS is slow.
Battery life is horrendous.
Phone itself is slow, even with updated firmware.
I would only get one if it was dirty cheap.
And by that, $250 usd or less.
Its NOT worth any more than that IMO.
I bought the N95. Big mistake. First time I used the earphones there goes my sound. You cannot handle the phone properly because on both sides of the phone there are buttons and receivers/transmitters that you press unwittingly. More often (after nearly two months) the phone keeps cutting out or I can hear the caller but they can't hear me.
The camera is excellent though, but I have problems using the GPRS - keeps switching back to wherever in Europe. Such a shame the phone has potential.
Had the phone one week and brook the LCD screen!! It just was bumped in my coat pocket. I didn't have it in a case, (Haven't found one that fits it right! ). Other than that I like most things about the phone. Great camera, GPS, MP3. Easy to get around on and learn. It does slide open just a little to easy for my taste. Great size not to big, but loaded with functions.
