This phone has a lot of features.
Its too bad it sucks at a lot of things.
GPS is slow.
Battery life is horrendous.
Phone itself is slow, even with updated firmware.
I would only get one if it was dirty cheap.
And by that, $250 usd or less.
Its NOT worth any more than that IMO.
I bought the N95. Big mistake. First time I used the earphones there goes my sound. You cannot handle the phone properly because on both sides of the phone there are buttons and receivers/transmitters that you press unwittingly. More often (after nearly two months) the phone keeps cutting out or I can hear the caller but they can't hear me.
The camera is excellent though, but I have problems using the GPRS - keeps switching back to wherever in Europe. Such a shame the phone has potential.
Had the phone one week and brook the LCD screen!! It just was bumped in my coat pocket. I didn't have it in a case, (Haven't found one that fits it right! ). Other than that I like most things about the phone. Great camera, GPS, MP3. Easy to get around on and learn. It does slide open just a little to easy for my taste. Great size not to big, but loaded with functions.
why you guys fond of updating ur software even though there's no problem in ur phone? good if u successfully updated.sometimes the phone corrupts during the upgrade.
The is going down 579USD because of the new N95 8GB:
I got my N95-3 today an its a big improvement from the first one the slide is alot smoother an the backs superb,to get the N95-3just press the ImportGSM on the left an they sell it an get it delivered to the U.K in just about 3 days,
i just wanna say in reply to Al that when my dad got his phone and downloaded the softwear up date that the Nokia staff were terrible, absouloutly no help. My dad went on the Nokia website and it had a link, and when my dad did it, his camera went all wrong, and Nokia blammed the shop.
Well i received my N95-3 yesterday and here is what I think;
Great battery's life improvement, I mean really much better.
Much faster GPS in less than 30 seconds I was able to track satelitte and it's very accurate.
Fantastic internet browsing, I was able even browse arabic websites which I could not with my new TytnII.
Great and excellent camera.
Really fast processer. it even felt faster than Tytn II from ATT.
Oh the sliding mechanism is way more stable and firmer than the n95-1
1- it has a cheap plasticy face however improved back.
2- iit lacks touch screen.( I can live without though)
3- it does not pair with my BMW blue tooth and for this reason alone it goes back to Nokiausa today.
one final word nokia customer service and sales are excellent.
I will wait for a new Nokia that will pair with MB or BMW.
Its good,to describe all specification, But for thousands of many common persons,If yr Co.also narates, why this phone is exclusive and what it can do,will help Public to buy more and more phones
i have purchased n-95 recently..all the functions are very nice but the main disadvantage of this set is its bettery...it has the worst battery backup i ever seen in any nokia set.
hi, Its a very good phone and i am using all the features. But the battery is very bad and with my kind of usage I charge it 3 TIMES in 24 HOURS!!! I wish nokia would do something to it. I am unable to find an equal phone with better battery life :-(
music sound alright on n95, is the headset you using that make the differences. the headset that come with it doesn't really produce good music I can say even the review say that too. Like me i connect it with my old Sony ericsson walkman headset to my N95 & set some of the feature in the bass... The music came out close to sony ericsson walkman itself. just try & test it out. agree the phone hang sometimes, but most of the time due to third party software you install in. other then then batt life still the main problem...
Hi I am on phone no 8 ALL the REST have been changed thats in the last 2 months. Looks like I will have to go for No 9 as the battery is not holding any charge. Only getting 1hr - 1 1/4 hrs total talk time and I an not using any of their Suberb Features.
If only Nokia could sort their softwear out it would be a VERY VERY GOOD Phone.
the N95 is really nice, but I'd stay keep your N73, because it is just as good.
this phone is quite good, but it is so over rated, by the K800 and a tom-tom, cause it will probably be better, and cheaper. I mean it has got GPRS, but it dosn't always work. Its good, but there is certainly better
Cant get to play music or tune stations from the handsfree earpieces keys, i have to remove phone from pocket to tune or skip music. Kindly help. Andrew
you guys are doing a great job out their must expecially the nokia Nseries iuse the phone and it beyond wat i tought, keep it up.
Has anyone ever compared the music quality of the N91 8G with the N95 or N95 8G?
the music quality of the N91 8G is fantastic and i want to know by upgrading to N95 8g, whether i will still have the great music quality or not.
