Those planning to buy this N95 get the newer version with 8GB and a better battery life BL 6F 1200mAh as compared to the old version BL 5F 950mAh
i wonder why N93 is now more expensive than n95?here in manila,at nokia stores, n95 costs P32+k($695.00+)& n93 costs P33+k ($717.00+) considering n95 is still new, has 5MP Cam, GPS, 3.5mm jack & a bigger screen..
there must be something wrong with this phone..to justify the price drop..

mu n95 is only ten days old. it hangs every now and then. also, it does not recognise all sim cards. any help?
I have one for two months now and I can tell is the best phone I ever had.
To Pyqt, congrats! You must be so happy now that you've got a N95. :) How about me? When will I have this phone? :( I'm still waiting patiently.
sorry.. camera
People, i don't understand you...You buying phone for special use CMAERA? or you buying phone for use as phone ...If you need good camera, go spend $400.00 and buy Camera..
n95 is an excellent phone, but is there anyone can tell me how to get pictures more than 1000kb because my n80 before used to get 1500kb upto 1700kb as the highest memory and the pictures are detailed even if i zoom it further and my n95 only gets 500kb and 800 is the highest. I already set it up all at the highest point and i tried already using the camera at the best light location but still the same?
To jKr5,
Nokia Care Contact Center at 1-888-665-4228
This is the U.S version of the N95 They have made some improvements.
SDRAM Memory up from 64 to 128 MB, Executable RAM Memory is now ~81 MB instead of ~18,
The Max User Storage is down from 160 MB to 157 MB. The reommended Max Memory Card Size is now 2 GB where the european one is 4 GB.
Standby talk time up to 5 hours Eurpean N95 is 4 hours.
Its like the N95 mixed with the N95 8 GB.
any one know, Nokia Repair center in Los Angeles area /.??

Main disadvantages:
"Charging through USB is not possible"
...if it is what I think it is, that means you can't transfer data/photos from this phone to a computer using USB.
Could someone tell me if it is so? end if it is, how can I transfer those data to a home PC? I want to know cause i intend to buy this phone...many thanks in advance
I had been waiting for this phone to come since the day It was announced and I am a proud owner of one now. I feel satisfied to have waited for it and not to have bought any other phone in this time as I feel that this is the most satisfying and amazing phone that has come in a long time. The features are just too many and very user friendly and it just keeps on surprising you with its potential. Still getting to know my way around it but it is certainly a must have gadget of present time.
Many thanx for the advise given, guess where i am off too today ? you got it too get my N95 will let you know how i get on x
I bought this phone 4 days ago and on the whole have been very impressed with it even though I have just had to get a replacement phone as one of the keys stopped working for no reason (didn't spill anything on it or drop it).
My initial impressions are:
Pros: *great camera quality - not all the features I would have wanted as I bought N95 in lieu of buying a real camera but I don't think its reasonable to ask for everything in a hibrid
*love being able to watch free TV (vodafone australia) and amazed at the quality
*I'm not generally a gadget person, but even I find it easy to use (menus, bluetooth, SD etc)
*love the fact I can set the alarm clock to wake me up every week day at the same time - its the little things like this that make a difference!
Cons:*came with really crappy games (1 amped up version of Snake and a demo version of some weird game I don't really understand)
*when I downloaded backgammon (from Vodafone Aus) it was the only application I had problems with (froze when I opened it quite often). May not be a problem with the phone.
*the battery life really isn't great. I admit I was playing with the phone more than I usually would - checking out tv streaming, music player, camera etc - but would have hoped it would be better than what it turned out to be (have to charge everynight - no big deal unless I forget to do it one night). Making sure all applications are closed when I'm finished with them helps a little.
*the camera has a timer on it, but the phone is tapered so you can't stand it on its side to take the shot and it's quite difficult to find something it will lean against to stay up - a bit annoying.
*headphones are pretty crappy.

NEW N95 STUDY!
i have N93 4GB now and i would say perfect and lol, i have 300 songs in my phone memory and still there 2gb space..So why spend more money and buy 8GB ? Tomorrow some one will make 12GB, so we will spend 1000.00 for phone ? forget it, and i would say you will not need 8GB im sure, because you are using phone only as phone, and some times camera..
