The N95 is a great phone. It proves that many are prepared to pay a high price for a multifeatured phone. Nokia have to now take a deep breath and look for ways of improving their devices. It is noted that they have not upgraded the GPS chipset to Sirf Star III. Is this because of pride or what?? Secondly are Nokia brave enough to move up to VGA screens?? This will give mobile users a vivid encounter. Remember people are prepared to pay for better features so Nokia should not hold back. N series users are not dunces. Many of them are sophisticated, so Nokia should not deprive them of a QWERTY just because it is a N series. My advice for any future N series would be to implement a Sirf Star III chipset for the GPS; design a slideout QWERTY; VGA 3 inch screen; 128RAM ; fast processor and expandable memory.
there are few diffrences between the n95 and the n95 8 GB
- n95 has a memory slot
- n95 8GB doesn't
slight difference in the battery performance
- n95 Stand-by Up to 220 h,Talk time Up to 6 h 30 min
-n95 8GB Stand-by Up to 280 h,Talk time Up to 6 h
Aiken what do u think ?!!
i agree to upgrade my n95. Ill buy an 8gb card for my orig n95. Lets say theres a diffrens for the perf0rmance fr0m the original n95 and with the n95 8gb. So what still l0oks and still the n95 c0ncepts. Im hapi with my n95 n0w.ü

I have just purchased Nokia N73 Music Edition and None of the games in .jar and .sis format works on it even the 3rd edition ones, only the games which are in .sisx format work on it. Plaese tell me how can i install .jar games on my phone? i guess they wont work on the n95 either help
to sense the point is not that its a good phone or not my point is if they want a n 95 with 8gb launch a memory card with 8gb so that everyone can have.if they had come out with a new phone it would not have mattered but same desgin big screen etc thats the sad part for the guys who already have the n95.as you said you just now bought an n95 but given a choice between n95 8gb which one would you choose?and even for the firmware updates the new phone will be a priority and you can expect max 2 firmware updates if you are lucky cus most of the prob like app not starting qulicky will be all fixed in the 8gb phone they have done it with n70 and 73 for what they will release updates for n 95 and now at point of time will then stop.
@brynn and andy burgin..
pls both of u contact me asap..i'll b in london on the 20th of septembr and i need some help regarding the N95..btw,i agree wit brynn's last post 100%..wel sed..
comeon first when nokia gave the 950 battery ppl wanted the 1200 now they want a 1600 wht is up wit tht man and ok nokia have released an n95 in black wit bigger screen and all tht but thts why they made to answer everyones troubles wit the normal n95 and for sum ppl who dont like the fact of releasin an n95 again how do u think i am i just got my n95 today which my dad ordered but i like it cause its the phone i always wanted ill try a bigger battery change my fascia and get a 4gb card yh but the fact remains tht an n95 will always turn heads when u slide it in music mode and the loud speekerz play
To all the last 5 posts or more,,i completly agree with all that you say 100%...
If i go to look at the amount of phones released by nokia and the other top companys its beyond belief the amount of copys,,they bring out fone after fone with the same spec whereas the best thing to do is like early nokia and bring out one phone and have interchangable facias to change what is basically the same fone in a different guise..
I waited till 29th aug to see what come out with reguards to n95 and their was nothing,,just the same n95 with even worse resolution due to bigger screen with no quotes on what has been asked for i.e. better battery (not 1200ma but a good 1600ma at least) no ram info and a move to the sirf star iii chip,,so they gone to all the trouble of raising hopes for just another n95 with bigger memory that we can get anyway shortly wen sandisk bring out the 6/8 gb cards.
On bbc news24 buiness reports at 4.45am 29 aug 2007 they were discussing nokias move to overtake the i-tunes store by having direct downloads to their new n81 mobile fone,,well all i can see is yet another rudy mobile fone with basically nothing good to offer so whats going on,,?? WE are still bringing out here in uk at least the same fone week after week whereas if they stopped and concentrated on wat the consumer wants thing will actually really progress not a regurgitation of the same old product and thats the same for s/e and samsung..
LASTLY i do so much agree and put in an earlier post that as nokia seem to bring out music editions or better models just a few months later with better specs and without the bugs of the original..This forces customers to shell out for the better device or feel cheated and annoyed that the fone they purchased was a half hearted test unit and they are the culprits,,,i also mean shell out as these phones are not cheap and most cost the same as a computer or basic laptop,,,anyway me and Andy Burgin are making our own n95i with simple battery upgrade and bigger memory card and black fascia, just for the sheer hell that we can do so,,,
contd form bellow
look guys i am not trying to make you feel bad but nokia does this often. i am scared to buy e 90 now you never know they may come out with e90 10gb with better hardware. of course better models always come but within 6 months launching the same model with better specs,i just dont think its fair on nokias part on the people hwo have purchased this cell for a heafty price just not fair.
nokia takes us for a ride always it happened with the n 70 with me the music edition was out from then onwards i stopped buying nokia asleast the n 70 was with same specs more or less but on n n95 bigger screen ,much faster more powerful bat,who are we kidding it is of course going to be better than the normal n 95 but nokia never thinks about the people who have bought this cell when it was launched for a heavy price they just dont care.6 to 8 months they come out with a much better phone what were the downside with the n 95 will be fixed on this it is for taken. by firmware updates you can fix the software problems what abt hardware problems they must have been fixed for sure.i think they should have done like n81 and announced both at the same time but the n 95 with bigger screen and more bat life i dont think most of the people would have gone for the n95.SO LETS NOT BLAME THE N95 8GB AND SAY THINGS LIKE THE ORIGINAL N95 IS THE REAL THING.FOR SURE N95 8GB IS A BETTER PHONE THAN THE ORIGINAL N95 AND IN TERMS OF HARDWARE ALSO AND BIGGER SCREEN WHICH I THINK ITS UNFAIR FOR THEN 95 USERS WE ALL CAN SAY FOR OUR SATISFACTION THAT N 95 IS THE REAL THING OR THERE IS NO DIFF BETWEEN THE TWO BUT THE FACT REMAINS THAT IS NOKIA F--KED THE N 95 USERS FOR PAYING A HEAVY PRICE FOR BUYING THIS PHONE.
the original n95 is still the real deal c0mpare to the n95 8gb. Ill rather buy a 4gb to 8gb card. The design of the new n95 l0oks a lil g0od c0mpare to the originala. But ill stil h0ld on to my original n95. In the end what ever u ch0se b0th n95 r0cks the w0rld of m0bile! Its the best!
hi! i just would like to ask if N95 is already capable for blackberry service? thanks!
Well I've just visited Nokia's website to attain more detailed information on the newly announced N95 8GB. I looked under technical specs for memory, processor speed and GPS. Guess what??...No info!! They have not given the RAM, the processor speed or the type of chipset in the GPS. Nokia are very secretive. Furthermore they have implemented features that nobody asked for eg 2.8 inch screen and 8GB internal memory. People's problem with the original concerned battery life and RAM. They have improved the former but they have not indicated the RAM value of the new device. I advise Nokia to be more transparent with tech specs in high end devices. Furthermore if they want another top selling device they should implement a slideout QWERTY coupled with a VGA 3.0 inch screen; 128MB RAM, 1500mAh battery, Sirf Star III chipset for the GPS and expandable memory.
