Can anyone help me with using the GPS navigation of this phone?. Nokia N95
I don't the N95 could really be updated though, the only thing they can really do is make a more powerful battery. Install a camera with a better optical zoom like the N93. Probably do some sort of modifcation to the GPS module. A price drop might occur.
hi everybody keeps complaining about the battery being rubbish....i dont have the phone but has anybody tried a n95 battery from ebay that has more mah???
Just a reply to the person down below two.
HTC sucks, and the iPhone you'll need getting used to.
If you want something marvellous, stick to the N95 or W960. But I can't look at the E90 for it's size.
BTW Nokia Fanboys, here's a little something if you didn't know this already;
I've got the N95 for a week now.
Battary life is very good and better then a samsung D900. I can't understand why everyone complains. It goes for 2 full days even using some music and an hour of Wi-Fi.
If any one knows trick and tip around the manster phone please email me.
If you want a phone a has it all buy the N95.
This is my reasons for why w960 is the best pic for me right now.
The diffrent mobiles im concidering for my next buy. nokia n95, apple iphone, htc shift, nokia e90 comunicator, sony ericsson w960, sony ericsson p1.
Compare good and bad in relation to the other candidates.
good: gps, vibrant high-res screen, 5 MP camera, vga video recording, hsdpa,
bad: short battery life, ugly, vuneruble dubble slide design, big, not touch screen.
good: super screen, intuitive navigation, looks nice, nice webbrowser.
bad: no hsdpa or 3g, no 3:e party program, no games, no custuomizations, no java, no multitasking, no mms, hard text entry, no office document editing, no camera autofocus, no videorecording, no camera settings,no memory slot, hard to transfere and share images and music, no usb mass storage, no radio, stereo bluetooth, must use itunes to transfer music, no hardware music keys, no custum ring signals,
good: has everything
bad: huge (a small laptop)
nokia e90 comunicator
good: has everything
bad: big, borderline ugly
sony ericsson w960
good: 8GB memory, stereo bluetooth headset, looks nice, touch screen, walkman.
bad: no memory slot, low resoulution on that big screen, no hsdpa
sony ericsson p1
good: qwerty keyboard, card slot
bad: hard qwerty keyboard, low resoulution on that big screen, borderline ugly, no hsdpa
To summerize this the n95 is a super phone beacuse it packs all features exept touch screen in a compact format but it falls away beacuse of short batterytime and low build quality and that it is a bit on the big size (just little to big.), iPhone is joke its just a ipod video with a nice screen and webbrowser and a phone feature it lacks in all departments, htc shift is amazing it realy is a super tiny laptop with touchscreen but you cant have it in your pocket and that is not acceptble, e90 has everything including a keyboard and hsdpa in a small package I defenitly have to look at it in the stores before I buy w960 im just afraid e90 will look ugly and big in real life, p1 and w960 is the same phone diffrence is that p1 has cardslot and qwerty keyboard and that w960 has 8GB memory with no cardslot and a regular phone look and a music and finger oriented interface and bundeled bluetooth headphones, the p1 is kund of geeky and ugly in real life and the keyboard is way to unnatural to use so if I have to choose between them it must be w960.
To summerize the summerization it stands between the e90 and the w960,
e90 has advantages such as full qwert keyboard, hsdpa, gps, exelent screen, allmost full laptop replacement. But w960 has som advantages such as allmost normal phone size and normal phone looks and touch screen and bundeled stereo bluetooth headset. Price is bound to be lower for w960 to.
So i guess it comes down to these questions:
Is money not a problem? Do you want a real buissniess phone? Want gps, hsdpa, highres screen? Is it ok with a big phone that fills your entire pocket and weighs a bit and looks like a small laptop and looks a bit nerdy? Then I think e90 is the right choice!
Do you want a phone that looks like a phone? Do you want lots of buisnesiss features and touchscreen that is navigated both with fingers or stylus? Is UMTS ok speed for your mobile surfing needs nearest 1-2 years? Can you live without GPS 1-2 years? Do you want to pay as little as possible for this device with bundled stereo bluetooth headphones? Will you mostly use your device as a mp3 player and phone? Then maby the w960 is more correct.
(Remember n95 have much of what e90 have but with short battery time it disqualify itself before the race.)
Hope someone had benefit from this text. :-)
From actual opinion user miLH "nerdy"
anyway is a complete phone i have seen so far is great..

I don't think N95 8gb is the Music Edition. It was not mentioned even once that N95 8gb is a Music Edition, meaning N95 8gb is only an upgraded(?)version of the present N95. There are also rumors for N95i and a real N95 Music Edition. What I really wanted (let say for N95i) a bigger screen size either 3" or 3.5" considering that it has already a 16M color resolution and a first N-series touch screen. Or NOKIA would be making this feature on their next N-series like N98 or N99 as rumored many months ago?
N95 8GB is a very ugly phone in the outside. Unlike the N70, N73 & N91 dressed in black which became so much more attractive than their original looks, this N95 8GB becomes the ugliest phone out there. The N81 is much more good-looking!
Is the n95 8gb much better than this one. despite more memory and a lack of cammera lenz what other differences there are
Great news guys,
I can confirm the 8GB flash memory music edition N95. it also has a 1200mAh battery. They have removed the cover slider and cover for the lens on the n95 Music edition to make room for it. They will officially announce it on August 29th. So if anyone is going to buy the regular N95 wait for the price to drop with this new edition.
So I heard from a source that a rumoured N96 could be coming out that looks like the N93 but thinner with better specs. Also there could be the N95 music edition with 8GB flash memory, in black. They will be dropping GPS and some apps for this version. August 29th is the day to find out. The regular N95 should see a dro pin price a bit as there could be a successor model. Thanks for the encouragment from all. I'll keep everyone posted of any details.
help! my n95 screen dont work. i think its damage.. can u help me fix it? is it a virus causes it or its ribbon? i can still hear the sounds of my phone but i dont see nothing. if ever the hardware is dmage(ribbon) wer can i repair it? and how much it will cost? thanx
the best got better !!! the nokia n95 will have an 8 gigs version .... WOW
If your Nokia N95 has a touchscreen, I'm afraid its a fake. An indian/chinese company called NOKLA makes the imitations. They aren't dual sliders which is the big giveaway. Be careful when buying. And thanks Hassan444, for the encouragement. So everyone wait for the 29 to see whats new instore from Nokia, not Nokla (If you haven't noticed by now its la in the end instead of ia).
My N95 is damaged.The screen doesn`t work....
