I've made contact in South Africa and they've confirmed software problems with this phone. Also the battery life is terrible!
It makes me wonder how Nokia could release a phone into the market with so many known problems.
""Hey people nokia is coming up with a phone with WiMax on 29th august and that will be called N96. A nokia spokesman, around six months back, said that they will launch wimax in 2008 beganning and on 29th august nokia is having a big event. So they will launch a high tech phone with this feature and that will be made available next year in feb-march.""
It would be with Touch Screen??
just wondering if the n95 satnav will cost through gprs charges. ive heard loads of different things
i like sagem mobile devices `cause are more
cheaper and tchnologily advanced.....plop
Does anyone know if it is possible to charge this phone via its mini USB port?
And is there a heavy duty battery available for this phone? slimline of course No fat ladies!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Pips, HONEST OPINION NEEDED. Just want to ask the sliding mechanism if it is still ok after 6 months of usage (of course, referring to those who have used the phone for 6 months or more). This is only the deciding factor that I need to know and never found any specific reviews on the sliding part before I buy it. Already have the money to buy it. Don't care about the battery, it's pretty quite ok considering that it cannot last 2-3 days of usage as many are saying. Nonetheless, kindly need your inputs regarding this. Thanks in advance!...
Hi is the n95 touchscreen cuz me and my mates are fighting about it..Tnx!
Don't buy from e-buy-global.com !
It's strange that they got mobile phones 70% cheaper, e.g. 8600 Luna - $150. It's that odd, that it doesn't even cover production expenses...
So, my advice: don't even write to them. They aren't really from Italy! Their host is somewhere in Israel! It might aswell be some kid playing around behind his PC, and getting his money off our backs.
When I asked for their company's registration number, business rate, or something like that, the director replied to me they haven't got it for anybody. 'Cause that's something that has to be made public, so anyone may verify it.
Thanks! Bye! P.S.: Please tell others, on other forums, too!
jrjf sir If by "asian version" of n95 you mean the NokLa n95 made in china
well nokLa n95
has touchscreen with stylus
differs in megapixel hehehe you'll never know what megapixel youll get
there are 2 megs,3 megs or even 8 megapixel and 5 megapixel but I dont think it matters as the lens used are well...of lower quality than normal (from what I heard)
can use 2 simcard at once without the need to reboot
This is a cool feature but I am kinda wondering how will this turn out when 2 people dial your 2 numbers at the same time?
is only dual band
I would really like to see how the video recording of the NokLa would turn out
but sadly no one seems to have uploaded videos captured from the Nokla n95 yet....>_
can anyone tell me the difference between the US and th asian version of n95?
Nokia might be releasing new phones on the 29th. So you might see a drop in price or an update for the N95. Just as a Heads up.
From the far it looks fine but in my hands alot does not look ok. Help me iam even failing to us internet. I am in zambia with celtel
hey guys.if you have smartphoneware full screen caller application and if u hve purchaced it already, can u pls send me d registration code or password or etc so that i will not buy now.tnx guys...N95 is d best...buy it now...
Hey, can any one tell me whether N95 supports ad hoc networking i.e. whether two N95s can share files among each other.

We just bought an N95 2 week back (we already have the N73, and Motorola Ming 1200, and a Nokia 6233). I must say this was the biggest mistake of our life.
First the battery life is pathetic -- just three hours or so, using only one of the features- GPS. Just two hours or even less than that if we used the WLAN.
What use is a whole list of features if you cannot use any of them?
WE were doing a cross country yesterday and you won't believe that we have to keep the tin can connected to our car adapter the whole time, as soon as we got off to go inot the mall, the battery just flowed out within an hour or so!
The music system is worse than even N73, and has cheap third class headphones, compared to Sony Ericcson (I stupidly sold my SE W810 for this iron block)!
The build quality is also extremely poor with squeaky sliding and tacky plastic finish.
What's more the photo results from N73 were much better despite lower megapixels -- one wonders if more megapixels is also better?!
All those who are jiving up the N95 evidently have not bought it, or were using a really pathetic set before, otherwise they would know what other phones are offering, and at what price.
A phone with a US$ 700 price tag, worth US$ 400 or less. A Failed product!
IF i was anybody now wait an see what Nokias going to release on the 29th August but the new mobiles might take till about xmas time before they are released or 2008,but see if you can get the N95 cheap off Ebay now on pay as you go as the contracts 12months an will miss out getting any ofthe new mobiles
I have just received my N95, think its great but ned help as I'm not a techno-boff. Can anyone tell me where I can find step by step details on how to get the maps and use the GPS and how it all works, I would appreciate it. I have read up everything they supply, but its got me foxed. Maybe I'm just a 50 yr old South African nut???? Help please and e mail me if you have come to grips with it all. Thanx
