I own n95, n73, samsung p310, se w00 and 6300 and I worked in mobile phones for years and now work for Panasonic. Im just saying this so you know I have reasonable knowlegde about mobiles and technology
Do me a favour... Charge your laptop to full battery disconnect then start browsing, listen to music, chat on msn maybe watch an episode or 2 of a programme. I bet you battery only last 3 hours tops. The n95 is not a laptop but has great features therefore faster battery drain if you use the features. everybody knows using gps drains battery. if you botherd to read posts by myself and others and changed a few settings you would eat your words. I only hae 3g on when surfing, I have gone into settings and turned off gps fully, turned screen brightness down 1 from the top and i get 2 days no probs. ifyou had any basic knowledge of how these things work you would have been happy. Just buy a 6300 and stop complaining. Anybody else looking for a phone just buy a basic. N95 is for people who want more and are not tech challenged so they know how to get more from this phone.!!!!!
I purchased N95 for about two months now, graduating from N80. I have upgraded the firmware to v 12.0.013 RM-159. My overall impressions: 1. A fantastic phone 2. great camera 3. great videos and music 4. slightly loose slider mechanism compared to N80. Initially, I had problems with battery life so I bought a spare, but discovered loose contact at terminals. With a very fine pointed instrument, I narrowed the contact area and discovered a significant improvement in battery life.
BLA. all in one is practical. you are the one who said separate devices. that's not practical. stop contradicting yourself.i don't need a hero to justify my needs, i just thought it was cool what gates answers was.
Shahid. i agree with you on comparing the camera to the n73,but i haven't printed them out yet, so that could make a differance.screen on the n95 might not be as nice as other phones. my 3 meg samsung d900 has a fantastic screen. the battery on my n95 doesn't give me problems like you are having. Mp3 player i like.
We just bought an N95 a week back (we already have the N73, and Motorola Ming 1200, and a Nokia 6233). I must say this was the biggest mistake of our life.
First the battery life is pathetic -- just three hours or so, using only one of the features- GPS. Just two hours or even less than that if we used the WLAN.
What use is a whole list of features if you cannot use any of them?
WE were doing a cross country yesterday and you won't believe that we have to keep the tin can connected to our car adapter the whole time, as soon as we got off to go inot the mall, the battery just flowed out within an hour or so!
The music system is worse than even N73, and has cheap third class headphones, compared to Sony Ericcson (I stupidly sold my SE W810 for this iron block)!
The build quality is also extremely poor with squeaky sliding and tacky plastic finish.
What's more the photo results from N73 were much better despite lower megapixels -- one wonders if more megapixels is also better?!
All those who are jiving up the N95 evidently have not bought it, or were using a really pathetic set before, otherwise they would know what other phones are offering, and at what price.
A phone with a US$ 700 price tag, worth US$ 400 or less. A Failed product!
F-secures anti virus package comes with firewall as well,,you get 30 days free tral then pay but its not too much..
Can you get a virus on phone using the Wifi, cause there is no firewall. Also if somebody knows how to turn the keypad light off or light sensor, i would aprreciate it.
fine... fine... don't get your knickers in a knot.
BTW, I could care less what Bill Gates or other rich and/or famous people use to listen to their music. If you need such "heroic leadership" to justify your own "needs" then so be it - most people are a bit more practical.
to bla. 100 times better quality. RIGHT. that's why i like it cause it's all in one. someone interviewed bill gates once, the richest guy in the world, and one thing they asked him was did he have an ipod. his answer was he liked listening to music on a cellphone instead. richest guy in the world who can afford anything.
fookin woicked phone. Best ever. No need to try slackin it off, he s the king.
Do you REALLY need all that crap in your pockets? Either separately or everything stuffed into a "cellphone"?
I was just saying that for the price of this N95, you can have 1 of each of those sub-components of 100 times better quality that what's offered in this N95.
i wan buy this phone...but i wan 2 know more bout it phone...if can who can tel me...beside...i also wan 2 ask...where u get the ideato make this phone le....tq
