dont compare a 3mp to a 5mp. N95 was compared to a 5mp sony digicam by experts. So n73 still a 3mp. N95 capture much better than 3mp. Read the hint n tips of expert on how to make good quality pix. And lastly for people who are makin the reason of compress pix by n95? Thats what u called new technology. High res pix in a small amount of kb or mb. To save more space. For the video quality of n95? Have u ever heard a amr format in a AAC codec? Thats the sounds of n95 in video mode. Look how practical n95 technology. Sounds great with les memry consumption.
butch.at least we both agree nokia make fantastic phones, unlike that jerk who was trying to compare the moto razor saying it's a better design and a better phone.
i wish foma,,sharp and toshiba would send more hansets to the uk,,it was great when sharp902,903 came out (voda only) and the toshiba ts 921 and 830 model i think sold here plus the sharp gx 10,20,30 were good models and dad has my gx30 now,, still good pics using a ccd sensor but as said below most europe type fones especially here in uk use cmos as their cheaper and consume less power.Them beasts of fones out their in japan and south korea shame us and at end of this year south korea are getting projectors in their fones
mark, bro i dont know.mybe d flash of n73 is brighter dan n95 but my n95 is better clear dan n73.i dont know bro.but my brother has n73 want to trade to n95.mybe some of products of n73 is better dan n95 and some of n95 is better dan n73.
Nokia has a great customer base in europe the likes of sharp do not therefore nokia do not have to produce great camera's.Flash 5mp on a billboard and people will automatically be in a state of awe. What nokia and most other manufacturers need to concentrate on is the sensor.A 5mp camera with a CCD sensor would be great.
You can't buy sharp phones anymore... Japanese phones are all very well locked.
I used to have a Sharp 903, best old phone ever in my opinion, but it was very big and lacked a lot of features that the N95 had. Since then, what Sharp phone can you get and use outside of Japan? Tell me and I'll buy one right away.
And including optical zoom on the N95 would have tacked on another 35g and 4mm of thickness minimum. I'd rather have the smaller phone and just crop for zoom.
Does anybody have a solution for me?
My multimedia button only works once a day for about 5 minutes. After that it will not work at all unless I switch phone off and on again. Getting really frustrated as i've put all my shortcuts on Multimedia menu so use it quite alot. I'm on phone number 11 and i've only had it since may - call me picky but for a phone as expensive as this one surely this shouldn't be happening. does anybody have any solutions?
Hey butch, Allan is right, the n73 does have a better flash than the n95. My friend has the n95 and we compared night shots with my n73.
Quote 'With the exception of the absofrigginlutely massive N93, no camera phones have optical zoom' erm Sharp have the best camera phones.Forget CMOS and look at what sharp use oh and they have optical zoom!
uhhh, N95 isn't "just released"... It's been out for a good number of months now.
Anyway, someone said "wtf are you gonna do with 5mp? print a billboard?"
K first of all 5mp isn't near billboard size, but aside from that, the reason you want high res photos is for CROPPING. With the exception of the absofrigginlutely massive N93, no camera phones have optical zoom. So how to do you "zoom in" on something? You crop the photo! What lets you crop your photo and retain quality? High resoltion!
Now i'm not a nokia fan boy, nor am I a fan boy of any brand watsoever, so I will say that the new K850 fromy Sony Ericsson will probably take better pictures than the N95. But there are a ton of other things that the N95 does whereas Sony's K line are basically phones with awesome cameras and not a hellva lot more. I like the N series 'cause it takes from best from the W, K and P series of SE and puts them into one. Unfortunately they often sacrifice certain things to do so. In the case of the N95, those sacrifices were 1) Battery life and 2) Stability. Will the N95 ever outshoot a phone that is designed to be first and foremost a camera like the N93 or the K850? No. But it will outperform them in almost every other aspect.
Here in Thailand the phone was lauched at 31000 bahts. Now it is 24900, that's 20 % loss in 2 months. And the 29 august Nokia will announced the N82, same N95 but better. Price will go down even faster. Morality : only people without brain buy phones just released...
is the volume of music loud of this phone if i'm using high quality earphones
Yes, N95 doesn't take high quality of images because it's too compressed. 5 megapixels should be around 2MB in size but with N95, it's around 700kB only. N93, N73 and especially K800i take so much better, higher quality of images than N95!
5 megapixel camera is just a marketing strategy of Nokia so that N95 will attract more consumers. I mean, there's no practicality with 5 megapixels. Are u going to print an image captured by N95 in billboard size? Even 2 megapixel is so more than enough to make quality prints of ur images.
Hey ppl im thinkin of buyin this phone cause my two friends got 1 and i realy like it i bought a sew880 and after two months i hate it now cause the cam is good and for the battery prob can be stopped cause theres soon a new battery tht does 50% more
anyone who has this can u tell me if its worth it thnks:)
I find it strange, almost unbelievable that people believe the n95 screen is sooo great. What produces crisp, sharp images?RESOLUTION.The n95 has bog standard screen res!
Just wanna know about the battery life and do all the features as mentioned work perfectly....?
Plz. Let me know..Thanx
