OH YEAH... can everyone just stop going on about the dumb battery we all know battery is crap, os lags sometimes, gps lock on is long...etc. I suggest you update your firmware or wait for your carriers update, dont load all programmes on your phone! you need a 4gb SDHC, AND COME WITH SOME SOLUTIONS. If you just got the phone read before posting and you will see what you posted has been posted a thousand times. WE WANT SOLUTIONS....
Mine says "MADE IN FINLAND" I still experience some pro's and cons like everyone else and I sometimes get mad, but I cant live without this phone it just does so much for me
buy.com has it for $650, after coupon will be $635, Macmall has it for $650 free shipping
You guys are crazy this phone is worth every penny. I have no complaints!!
1. people who actually learn about a phone before they buy it wouldnt expect a week from this sort of handset, people who do expect that are noobs
2. the v12 software update fixes all previous bugs with satnav, mine now locks on in under 15 seconds every single time.
3. you got a bad deal cause i got a free 1GB card with mine! you can buy a 2gb card for £11 now so its not really that big a deal is it? with memory that cheap would you really want nokia to put the price up by £100 just to get a gb onboard?
This phone is overpriced, the GPS is cheap and so is the camera. Buy the Nokia 6120 Classic, costs a lot less, about the same features apart from GPS reciever and camera, and its smaller!!!
This is -almost- an amazing phone. It's so close to being great, but it misses out on a few important things.
First, there's the battery. Even with all the features like bluetooth turned off and the phone on the lowest battery use possible with just a regular user's calls and text usage you'll be lucky to get two days out of it. Considering many phones these days have batteries that last more than a week, it's just not good enough. I understand that a complicated phone like this will drain the battery more, but most people don't care about that and require more than that.
Second, the sat-nav. It's a great feature to have on a phone, and kudos to Nokia for being the first to put it into a popular handset. But, it's buggy. It can jump from place to place, it doesn't flow smoothly, it's slow to load, and getting the maps loaded and updated is a hassle. Plus there's not enough space on the phone really to store all of that.
Third, the memory. A handset with a 5MP camera and built in sat nav not coming with a large internal memory or a decent sized memory card in the box just doesn't make sense. I can understand how they want extra money through accessory sales, but when you market a handset for certain purposes it makes sense to give the customer the full package.
It's an expensive phone with impressive features. If only there had been that little bit more care put into it.
This phone is rubbish.... !!
Why have sat nav when you tight ppl could just buy a tomtom!!! also 5MP!! My A**e its useless, my k800i is better.
about weak battery-now have solution of problem-chines company "yoobao" made new 1400mah battery, but is whit special plastic cap for n95,which made phone to balky.to see the pichture go to www.interstar.ua.but information is in russian language.madpanas
I bought this phone in Kuwait and got the GPS data loaded for the entire middle east. I want to know what maps are loaded by default for phones sold in India.
Also, I couldnt see maps for India in the map downloader. Can someone let me know, where I can maps for India?
n95 radio sound volume was very low from loudspeakers.. After upgrading new firmware 12.0.013 radio from loudspeakers become very very weak. Nokia help us!
Not too bad, but the battery life isa basically non existant. Doesn't even last a whole day. The built in GPS is also just a sales gimmic - need to pay $100 (in SA it is about R 800) before it can navigate you around. And it is slow - it takes forever to determine your position.
I'd rather use my Nokia 6300 or E50 - cheap and uncomplicated and fork out money on a decent Garmin GPS
