does the gps cover india and specially bombay ?
also how long does the battery last for .. when used frequently ?
very great phone the camera is really wonderful and i liked all the features this is the best phone among all the other mobiles thankful to nokia for manufacturing this great phone
It will depend on the device size you prefer too. If you want an all-in-one device that's forgivable in size and want to print photos in larger sizes, N95. If you want optical zoom more than the device size, n93i. Btw, i seldomly use the zoom in my n93.
in regards to the n95 which i have had 4 5 months and comparing it to the n80 that i took it back for a refund the n95 with its twin slide great idea twin speakers sounds great with 3d settings video at 640x480 res play back on my plasma tv very simple phone to use photos are very nice even when there is no light at all you press lightly and hold on the camera button light comes on then a sound lets you know that it has auto focused and ready to shot even if you carnt see what you are taking internet is very quick at 3.5g but cost you a hefty price havnt tryed the gps yet great screen the batt to be expected as it dose run a lot of apps but if you use it as just a phone it will last 2 or 3 days the screen is a nice size at 3.6in great for displaying photos videos and movies in wide screen i hope this will help overall i give this phone 8 half out of 10
this phone is great !! i have it for allmost a week now, and i'm really impressd!! it's far smaller than i expected from the pictures , the video clarity of the camera is awesome, the pics ..woow...it's just perfect
Incidentally, it is interesting that the forthcoming i-mate ultimate series (7150;8150 and 9150) have screen resolutions of 640*480. The 9150 has a diagonal screen length of 2.6 inches just like the N95. So I must assume that i-mate's screen is far sharper judging from the specs.
The choice between N93i and N95 hinges on how important optical zoom is to you. If you're somebody who continually records his/her life in pictures and video then the N93i is the phone to buy. The OZ makes filming far more flexible. I believe a camera without OZ is like food without water. Conversely if you want to utilize an in-built GPS then go for the N95.
I am in a confusion to purchase N95 or N93i. My main thing is camera and its zoom, video and music. pls suggest me
Thanks for the answer, to the man who answer my question about optical and digital zooms. Which phone do u think worth to buy, Nokia N93i or Nokia N95.
Thanks in advance.
Lots of questions are going on about this phone here I see. Well lets start from the bottom. For the dude who talk about ASIA with the 1-MP phone, Sorry buddy that phone you're talking about is barely a concept in development by Samsung and Sony that prove to be a current failure. Both company fine the phone to be difficult to pack so much features into it when it's incompatible with other neccesary things. The network for those phone doesnt even works here in the US so please stay relevant to your post and be sure you are talking about US compatible phone here. The touch screen is the one thing i hate most on phone. Wait and see the Iphone get complains about their touch screen and finger print. People demand for things they cant accept, weird. Also, if you EVER had a chance to even Touch one of these n95, you would know the n95 map ALSO have a 3D option for the map and it does show which direction you're facing my friend. This show that you are Clueless about the phone itself. 2GB isnt so tough in Japan. Nokia already surpass that that line with the N91 Black edition with 8GB, please check on that and ill get back to you about how much better Nokia is. Sliding phone has been out since the 90s in Asia? well if am not wrong, the flip phone and bar phone been out since before sliding and sliding phone is making big hit right now in over all sale, also please read more on that. Ok now that we answer your issue lets move on.
Yes this phone should work with the Asia area map, if its not there is always an option where you can pay your service provider to give you the even BETTER GPS service that navigate you throughout then country and so forth. So worry free my friend.
The optical zoom and digital zoom make great differences but with this phone ive been using it on digital zoom and it works fine. Some of you dont know but this N95 does have an IS(image sabilization) unit install inside. So it also have a decent image with even digital zoom. Trust me, for a camera phone this N95 wont get old anytime soon.
The battery life of the N95 isnt as bad as most of you said it is. Ive gone two days without charging on it. If you buy this phone and use it like a media device more than a phone then please do expect the phone to drain out of its juice. Just to remind some of my friends here that this thing is a phone after all. Even with a big battery the Sony PSP can only provide about 6-7 hours of game play. Most other electronic device with media cant do any better. So for a phone that last you an entire day with GPS and gaming and mp3 and big pixel camera, its holding up very good. Just be sure to lower the lighting and the WLAN search of you are not using it.
As for the TFT screen quality, its a phone screen. Why are there people talking about HDTV quality here? its not a TV! Its a HD phone!. Maybe you guys are not spending enough time to convert your video files. Im getting exceptionally good quality off of my videos and every where i watched it people are wowful into the qualit it produce. Even the new Iphone can only offer the same amount of colors.
To what i know, this N95 wont be out class until another AT LEAST 1 year. The time i bought one of the first 2mp camera phone, it take THIS LONG to have something surpassed it. 2 WHOLE YEARS just to surpassed a 2mp phone. 5mp? it's going to take a while. Do any of you hear anything about SE or samsung crawling any where near 4mp yet? they are barely stuck on 3.2 mode. Sony are so proud of their 3.2 right now they are partying over it. Samsung as we all know ever since the D900 3.2mp they didnt really improve much on megapixel either. Apple iphone which will release soon with all these ALMOST comparable features still have to bow down to the N95 5mp. So in term of US compatible phones, the N95 will stick around for a LONG time. Even its forefather the N80 can still beat most of the phones out there. Japan make good phones i admit, but there is a different between a Good phone, and a EXtrEmEly Good PHONE!. We all know European get real advance when it come to the extreme stuffs. Cars, phones, Convention, and other technologies. So The ASIA Phone Talk need to listen to the European Phone Talk now.
i owned n95 till 4 months it is very beautiful phone phone its camera clarity is really great and it is very good phone it is my favourate phone
The jealousy is the only reason that censorious people talk negative on this phone. i wonder some people even don't know this is not a computer this is a symbian phone. guys believe me this phone is far away its time. all this defect is for inordinate expectancy on this phone. please be pragmatic and don't judge before you ever touch it.
and sorry for bad English !
i think this phone is the best and i amgoing to buy it very soon too , if anyone thinks that it is a bad phone then tell me the reason why is is bad
Louie, digital zoom causes deterioration in picture quality whereas optical zoom maintains picture quality. This is one area where the N93 and N93i surpass the N95, which has no optical zoom. To the guy who spoke of 10MP Asian cameraphones with GPS; you did not name any models, and are they compatible with Western networks??
Can anyone tell me the difference of A Digital Zoom and optocal Zoom. Which is better?
