I wish it had fm radio with rds, dvb-h tv broadcast receiver and stand-by up to 350 h. then it would be perfect. I wish the next masterpiece of nokia has it all. I 'll just wait until then. My n80 is ok. I don't need gps at the time. But it's the best phone now.
i have this phone for 1month,1st 1week is not good n then i upgraded it n it works very very good!!!don't believe d others because they r jealous they can't afford it!!!buy one n u'll c the difference ur b famous!!!
I feel that this phone raise too much of a commotion before it was released. The price went downhill too fast, in Singapore since it was released it already went down S$200. It took n93 7 months before it went down the way n95 did.
does this phone's opening the slide function as answering/hangup of voice calls? and does sliding to the music control side automatically start music player??
Ultimate phone, you wont find a phone like this. just opened the box and what an awesome mobile. its true its not one thing its many. those of you dreaming about this mobile i will say go for it dont wait! get this thing n i assure u u wont need another mobile for a really long time.

is the display type 256k or 16M colour for this phone(n95) cuz im seeing different informaion on different websites......
Your converting is interesting but at the end of the day the screen res is only 240*320. Nokia should consider the 480*640 option. The screen would be much sharper.
The phone is very well featured. Just got one today. Three major concerns:
1) Top sliding cover which holds the navigation buttons is loose and rickety. This makes the phone cheap. This may seem like a small thing but when pressing buttons it feels like you're sitting at a wobbly table. It doesnt impair performance but really pisses you off...
2) Battery life is very bad and standby times are terrible. I used the first charge of 20hours up in 2hours using a little of GPS, Wireless and bluetooth and only one call.
- So buy another battery!
3) Phone is still sluggish even with no background applications running.
All in all a very good phone but small elements that can really irritate are not taken into account.
for the n95 i am useing the ultra ipod converter program to convert all my movies music videos to the 640x480 res that this phone can run at 30 fps the play back is unbeleavable and hooked up to your tv looks like you are watching a dvd no lie the converter i have gives you all the settings you need. 1 on (profiles) i chose ipod video2 (640x480)mpeg-4 format on settings i chose video quality (superb) next is video codec (mpeg4)next is resolution (640x480)next is framerate at 30.0fps next is aspect ratio (auto) next audio (160 kbps superb) next audio codec ( mpeg4 aac ) next is channels ( 2 channels stereo ) leave sample rate and letter box setting as is last thing is the main volume control slide it up to 600% that would be full if you leave it at 100% the play back on the phone is way to low i have played around with this ipod converter and it works fantastic all you have to do is add you your movie set your settings then start the converting the files when done plug in the n95 via usb copy and paste and there you have it no pixelated movies or videos plus if you want you can change it to run on the early phones as well at 320x240 res
does the gps cover india and specially bombay ?
also how long does the battery last for .. when used frequently ?
very great phone the camera is really wonderful and i liked all the features this is the best phone among all the other mobiles thankful to nokia for manufacturing this great phone
It will depend on the device size you prefer too. If you want an all-in-one device that's forgivable in size and want to print photos in larger sizes, N95. If you want optical zoom more than the device size, n93i. Btw, i seldomly use the zoom in my n93.
in regards to the n95 which i have had 4 5 months and comparing it to the n80 that i took it back for a refund the n95 with its twin slide great idea twin speakers sounds great with 3d settings video at 640x480 res play back on my plasma tv very simple phone to use photos are very nice even when there is no light at all you press lightly and hold on the camera button light comes on then a sound lets you know that it has auto focused and ready to shot even if you carnt see what you are taking internet is very quick at 3.5g but cost you a hefty price havnt tryed the gps yet great screen the batt to be expected as it dose run a lot of apps but if you use it as just a phone it will last 2 or 3 days the screen is a nice size at 3.6in great for displaying photos videos and movies in wide screen i hope this will help overall i give this phone 8 half out of 10
this phone is great !! i have it for allmost a week now, and i'm really impressd!! it's far smaller than i expected from the pictures , the video clarity of the camera is awesome, the pics ..woow...it's just perfect
Incidentally, it is interesting that the forthcoming i-mate ultimate series (7150;8150 and 9150) have screen resolutions of 640*480. The 9150 has a diagonal screen length of 2.6 inches just like the N95. So I must assume that i-mate's screen is far sharper judging from the specs.
The choice between N93i and N95 hinges on how important optical zoom is to you. If you're somebody who continually records his/her life in pictures and video then the N93i is the phone to buy. The OZ makes filming far more flexible. I believe a camera without OZ is like food without water. Conversely if you want to utilize an in-built GPS then go for the N95.
