Anybody of u in Manila Philippines who has already an N95, I ave a hardtime looking for metro manila map.Can we use gps already in the phils?Pls i want burn my n95 already since i dont the map for gps.
For Iceman yes there is as i use the maps, go to this website - http://www.smart2go.com/en/
and follow the prompts you will install Nokia Maploader onto your desktop of your PC and as long as you have your phone of mass storage mode you should be fine, or just take your memory card out and place it into a memeory card reader and once you have done this the program will allow you to down load both west and east sides of Australia for free but depending on your internet speed it may take a little while... good luck!
Hi all, I'm planning to buy a new phone, I am interested to get N95 since it has all what I need like big screen, memory, GPS, and 2 cameras. please advise shall I buy this N95 or any other fone has the similar features.

DON'T love it DON'T buy it. its better to all nokia lovers to see this inimitable phone in everyones hand.don't forget it this is a fact: symbian is the best and PDA with its rubble body and rubbish Windows going to die these days.i hate the qwerty and touch screen too. oh my good n95 is full perfect marvelous slide phone.

yea this is the best camera phone at the moment! the 12 month offers are good had a look at 4thgenerationphones.co.uk/latestoffers
around the same price as the newer samsung phones but much better!
It's a real snail!Nobody would expect it to be as fast as a normal java phone but it's far slower than I-mates running WM6.WM6 is a bigger os so why are they faster than a small symbian phone?
my GPS doesn't work too i live in jordan and i've downloaded jordan map throw the maploader about 10 times but when i go to the "maps" in my phone it's not there and my GPS couldn't locate me it shows no connection but when i go to the "view-sat info" it shows that there is a signal but no connection anyone could help i'm getting tired from this phone
Hey Marcus (and other readers)
I have major problems with ur comment.
Firstly, camera is superb. my N95 focuses perfectly and photos are crisp! There are no black spots in any of my pics.
The very first time i used the maps it locked onto the sattelites within 30 sec! and it does each time! (ps- i live in South Africa).
I have no bugs in my Maps at all. AND--- THE MAP DOES ROTATE ITSELF TO THE DIRECTION OF MOTION during either simulation or navigation.... do a double check on that one.
No need at all to restart the phone. It restarted itself only 1ce (the day i got) because i left a few apps open.
PS: i stil have the old firmware.
In conclusion, the phone is fantastic. Ive never had so much fun with any cellphone ever. It works gr8 and i recommend it to every1.
Initially in your phone there are no maps at all. Only the Globe. You have to load them from the net. You need WLAN connexion when you just surf to Manila and it loads that map automatically into your phone.
The other possibility is to download in your PC a program from this site: http://www.smart2go.com/en/download
A hint: read your manual, it's usefull.
Iam still hoping that, there good soul around to help me on my n95 problem.i cannot utilized my GPS since no Asia Maps on my unit.Anyone of u out there to give Asian Maps (Metro Manila in Particular)
The phone its self is a technological marvel of the modern world, everything you could want in once device. However there are a few points to note
The multimedia keys that are revealed when slid open are very awkward to press, most of the time you have to really force your finger onto them to get them to work, and if you have big fingers you have no chance of easily pressing these. The slide mechanism its self is very tacky not worth the money when you consider the rest of the phones features. On the whole a good phone just though id point out these couple of details
First of all - I regret buying that phone.
Camera is good, colors, contrast, but - focusing is from the deep and what a heck is that black spot middle of screen? It shows on taken pictures as well. Built in GPS but cannot save coordinates in taken photo!
GPS takes several mins to lock on satellites, sometimes even 10mins! Once it's done that it works fine and eg. after long tunnel it finds sats again in couple of secs.
There are few bugs in the Maps application. When you plan route "on foot" mode it turns it "by car" mode. You cannot pick up a Landmark from Category list. When using map without navigation, u know, just following it, other gps's turn the map automatically to direction of motion - N95 does not.
And it's better to turn off & restart that contraption at least once a day. All those bugs make it to run slowly.
We have to complaint about these bugs - maybe - only God knows - Nokia will supply us updates - for free ofcourse!
n95 is a gud phone n vy cool phone but then the design could be done better
