listen this is a good phone but don't be taken in by nokia's marketing machine. If you have any knowledge of photography you would realise 5mp with a small lens is not ideal!Infact 3mp would have been better but 3mp wouldn't provide the wow factor.Gps is of a lower quality too as is screen resolution and it has an insufficient amount of random access memory
Thanks a bunch for your reply. Im gonna go ahead and purchase the phone and get rid of my P990i.
As for the people complaining about the battery, with any phone if u start using all the features, it will suck up the battery within a day.
Also as someone mentioned "WHY" Nokia released this in April instead of August because they didnt want to lose customers. Nokia lost me on n92 as i kept waiting forever and SE almost lost me on the p990 cuz it took them forever to release the phone.
when this phone came out i heard lot of news like the phone is slow , poor battery but all bluff reports but is faster then any N SERIES PHONE its simply rocks. i just recectly bought p990 and after looking at thi phone i just sold my p990 and bought this one.people i strictly recommend you this phone i think there wont be any phone which will come with 5mp and so many features , still phone coing with 2 and 3 mp so they still have some long way.MAN NOKIA U ROCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS THIS IS SIMPLY BRILLLAINT PHONE TOO GOODDD ABSOLUTELY ROXORS!!!
i have a question about the nokia n95. the specs are unclear to me as to whether all models of the phone will work in US and Asia. I have had phones not be able to work in Japan and Korea, and wonder if this phone has the CDMA frequency? does wCDMA cover that?
The problems that I encountered with this phone so far:
* sometimes, when you're in the gallery, when you want to delete some pictures, it won't let you. You need to reboot your phone to make this work again
* Gallery again, while viewing a picture, there are 5 icons on the right side, options to send picture via e-mail, print, etc, the icons are still showing even though you have chosen to hide it. You have to choose the option to hide b4 it works again.
*** Overall, N95 is a great phone really! :)
the n80 has a bad battery , i scroug for extra batteries it was ok i keapt 2 in my wallet .
Why u r so angry ofcource there r in every phone good things and bad things i know the Battery is bad but its better than the one in N93i and by the way i think the battery is great in this one because wifi,HSDPA,GPS what do u expect more in this stronge Device Be easy and Enjoy the wow 5MP cam ......
this is the worst phone i have ever had from nokia. here are the resons. 1. very slow interface. 2. big. 3. weak body beacause once it fell in my garden and got a scatch. 4. slow wifi. 5. not that high of sound. 6. finger prints. I got the 6300 from nokia and applied for the internet service from mtc it was and still is the best phone ever the 6300 is better then the n95 accept for the camera and wifi. but if you don't want a phone like the 6300 as a replacment for the n95 go for the n73 or n80 or e65.
go to www.nokiablog.com an it informs you about the new firewall an the codes to put it to get it once you have downloaded the NNS Suite an the correct codes to write an click enable but i have tried an using the software launcher it just keeps saying for me new software to download but it never sends the new software to my mobile but hope Nokia on there website release the new offical software to get everyones N95 improved
ok listen to this...would u rather get the phone in april when it got released with glitchy buggy firmware or would you want the phone to come out in august with perfect no glitches firmware...i chose april with buggy firmware...as long as i have the phone am happy with it...and so you should all be u ungrateful ppl......nokia chose to release it in april with bugs and stuff because they knew ppl want it to have it and admire it everyday and not wait till august because they would jsut lose the customers
I took my n95 to the nokia s.c. for a software update but this new firmware is not very good. The phone is still rebooting itself*annoyed*.I agree with the person who said nokia have to stop releasing phones that aren't finished.I mean this phone would be very good if it performed better.
yes i agree its the best phone on the market...but look at the price man its over 500$ :O "its good but its not that good" sorry if i heart some fielings whith this post "no hard fielings :)"
well it's no doubt the greatest nokia ever, and i am suprised that it is also good looking, but so many features and it's obvious that you won't even activate half of them, so why to buy it? It has crazy price, well i myself would go for E61 for instance or W950, but definately not this one.
Im a big Nokia fan and I just got the N95 a week ago but the battery is HORRIBLE. I have to charge it twice a day which takes all the fun out! Considering the price, i wish i stuck with my N80.
diss phone sucks ppl..... ugly lookin handsett... features no doubt gud but aftrall hw much do we use demm.... instead i wud suggst u ppl to wait fr nokia e90 communicator..... boss dat phone rockks.... similar features .... awhssum looks nd gives u a very rich feel....
since i bgought this phone i have some prob phone get restart by itself and oppiste people cant hear what we say is this due to virus or phone DEFECT pz repl me on email@example.com
This phone is so unfinished its scary.
I sell the damned things and about 1/3 of them are being returned as faulty.
Slide is dodgy on a lot of the handsets (feels like the 6280 slide), speaker faults and more software faults than you can shake a stick at.
For a £600 phone it leaves a lot to be desired. Nokia need to stop releasing beta phones on the public and telling them that they're finished.
The phone can have a wireless keyboard attached to it with the minimum of fuss, so yes to that question.
Turn by turn navigation you have to pay for a licence as at the moment there is no other software that will work with the integrated gps (that i know of, please correct me if im wrong) as i know most of the softwares arent yet compatible with inbuilt gps, therefore an external one is needed.
Hope that helps,
I was used to be a nokia fan ages ago but after switching to SE P800 i started loving SE and i never bought any other phone other than the SE P-series. I have been reading people's opinions on this phone and it seems to me that people who are bashing this wonderful device are the ones who hate Nokia. I currently have a p990i and I won't say I dont like it but I think N95 would be the device that will make me switch to Nokia.
Im currently in the market for a digital camera and a GPS and im thinkin of selling my P990i and getting this device. The only thing that is holding me back is the keyboard. Im so used to typing emails/sms on the full QWERTY keyboard and I think it might be a pain typing with the N95.
I have a couple questions though. I read somewhere that you can attach a wirless keyboard from Nokia with this device, is this true? Also is there a way to get the Turn by Turn Navigation for free on this device? Thanks a million
