I had mine for two weeks now since it was released in limited stock in the Philippines and this is what I found out:
Battery: If it is just regular calls and some standby time it will last for the average person, if you are a power user I suggest you bring the charger with you(its pocket size). I managed to enable bluetooth and played music via a stereo bluetooth headset for about 4+ hours, not bad.
Applications: I have no issues here, lots of applications and connectivity is great. I can't seem to enable GPS though, says no GPS signal maybe my country doesn't have it yet lol.
Overall hardware: I think Nokia should give themselves a pat on the back on this one, buttons are great, screen is vivid, the slide is sturdy: so far mine isn't wobbly or loose. Hanged only once when I switched off the paired bluetooth stereo headset first before the bluetooth on the phone(slaps forehead).

To all you bashers...
We don't care if you think this phone sucks because it doesn't pictures quite as perfect as your dedicated digicam, or it sucks because it doesn't have a qwerty keyboard and a touchscreen. If you want a proper PDA - then buy one! This is a multimedia phone! the operative word being MULTIMEDIA!
NO PHONE IS PERFECT, i repeat NO PHONE IS PERFECT.
The battery life - OF COURSE IT'S NOT GOING TO LAST FOR DAYS!!! I mean, doh... it's an incredibly compact smartphone with tonnes of features - and of course if you play media on it all day longa it will eventually die - ANY PHONE WILL!!! And for heaven's sake, 5 megapixels is extremely draining on any battery.
Sure - it does suck that the phone has a few software problems - but that's temporary! a firmware update will come soon and zap those problems so quickly.
Also - R-E-A-D: ... those of you who are asking such common questions.....read the bloody comments - 99% of your questions are probably already answered!!
So, please, stop flooding this forum with useless comments - and constantly repeating nonsense about how bad this phone is.
I swear - if this phone had all round perfect features, gave you a massage and made you a cup of coffee - you people would still moan and whine.
Here we ask useful questions and make appropriate comments.
Think. Read. Keep it real.
so far I have had this phone for about 2 weeks already and to me this phone sucks becuase It keeps on restarting and it keeps on closing my applications. Its really irritating how can I fix this.I regret getting nokia I shouldve bought the new se w610i
I think i just made big mistake and listed my phone on E-bay for $685 with free shipping in USA. just to get Sony Play Station 3 :(
yep get alot of memory problems it just closes applications or resets itself good phone though 8/10
The music software is very similar to the N73 Music Edition. I had the music edition and this phone is a step up. Playing MP3's on this phone sound even better through the loudspeaker!!!
This phone has a more indepth equilizer which does need to be played with to get the best possible sound.
Camera is awesome!!!
I had mine from Hong Kong and have had no problems with it so far.
had this phone for 3 days didnt hang battery life can last for abt 20 hrs with calls sms and listening to music and watching videos it is a great phone camera is also good. overall i will rate it 9.5/10 this is the best phone i had.
Great features but not enough random access memory.Nokia have made a big mistake or maybe it was a strategic move in giving this handset the minimal amout of usuable RAM.Forget multitasking or heavy web browsing!
As everybody else has been complaining, yes the battery life isn't that great, but you guys are forgetting that the phone has a lot of features. You can't compare it to a phone that has less features because obviously the more features a phone has, the more battery it usually uses. In comparison, my 3.2 megapixel cameraphone used up more batteries than my non-cameraphone and now my n95 uses up more batteries than my 3.2 megapixel cameraphone. Of course when you first get the phone you're going to play around with it a lot (hence probably using up a lot of batteries) but you'll probably end up using the phone less over time. Just keep check of your battery status and if it's low on battery, it doesn't take that long for it to charge back up. What's so hard about that? Cell phones were never really well-known for battery life so come on now, give Nokia a break. If they could make the battery last longer, they would have done it already . . . Besides, no cell phone is ever perfect. It will always have it's pros and cons, but as long as the pros outweigh the cons, then I think it's ok. I think you guys are just expecting a little bit too much here. Smartphone or not, it's still a phone, so don't expect it to perform as great as a real digital camera or a real personal computer, etc.
Well u can ve pretty cool multimedia laptop at this price 50000 in pak whats the fun there is not a single wifi or 3g or not a fully operative EDGE for 5mp dig cam get a cybershot at 9000 rs atleast it ll ve a reasonable flash i score this cell at 2/10 at this time atleast get a grip nokia
