I just got my N95, this fone is very nice, can any body tell me on how to set up the GPS. thanks alot
does anyone know if its difficult to setup the internet and mms settings on the phone?
or should i pay someone to have it done so when i get the phone its already setup
I like the phone a lot and I want to buy it, but where I live there isn't 3G coverege!
Would I be able to benefit from all features that require fast connection or not?
I mean browsing, GPS, etc
I recently saw d N95 in pune, already for sale at d REDIPHONE shop on karve road nr. kalmadi house.Thot it wud luk huge,bt it was small-gud small.Bt d price quoted by d dealer(rediphone)here was Rs.34,500 flat. i.e US $ 764./ Approx.
Wonder when will GSM ARENA carry a review of this cell.
I had an N95 for the weekend. It was quieter than both a W950 and a W900, and the sound quality wasn't as good either. You get a much fuller sound from the Walkman phones and better bass response. Anyone who says otherwise is clearly tone deaf.
I have a N95 and the battery life on it is Atrocious. i hardly even use the features during the day and the battery has 2 bars by the end of it!! i wouldnt get one unless you have a few extra batteries on you
raf im also from south africa - what package did you pick up the n95 is it free.
I got this phone within 1 hour of its official launch in India. The fone looks great. Feels great to own this feature-monster. The design is great, but the quality of the body is not that great. To make this phone light weight (120 gms) the plastic used is quite low quality. The Performance of the Symbian Series 60 is appreciable, not great. Quite fast, but kinda drags once u start running apps parallely. The Media Player is simply awesome. I have been a SE K750i user and I know what "gr8" quality of music is. This one can beat any good SE walkman series phone. The OS is a bit buggy. When you are using the Media Player and a voice call comes in, the phone hangs after the call is done. Hopefully Nokia fixes this in future updates. Nice camera too. 5MP.
South Africa: I just picked up the N95 from a MTN store and its on charge now.... can't wait to start using it. Apparently MTN got 1000 units only.
To Ulidian, in connection manager make sure that both bt microsoft and widcomm are ticked. Also ensure you pair the handset with the computer first, then open nokia PC Suite. Default pairing code os 0000 goodluck.
Compass can be downloaded to all symbian phones including this one, please dont be so stupid.
Looks like it just is not possible. There are cable drivers but no wireless http://www.nokia.ie/A4390160
Hey, Ulidian, there are regular software upgrades for all nokie handsets, go to Nokia.com, handset support and software, download the update software and then update the firmware on your handset. The handsets are like computers right, so they require software updates occasionally, this allows them to be optimised for connectivity etc.
Another point, I have tried without success to get the N95 to connect to me laptop via Bluetooth and as a modem. It will connect via IR. I can connect the phone in a file transfer mode but cannot set it as a network connection. Has anybody else experienced this.
The N95 looks good, feels good and has some great features – but the battery life is crap. From fully charged - make a few calls (10/12) average time 4 mins, use the camera twice, collect email (headers only) approx 20, and now you will be on the one bar of the power line. If you want to use this phone you will need an extra battery or good access to a charger. Also, if you use it you will hang the phone at least twice a day.
